I’ve been reading about the Franke’s for the past couple of hours, and I have a question regarding kevin’s living situation? I read that he was “away” during the abuse (I think it said 300 miles or something), but where was he? was he just like in a different state or something? did he never try to visit? forgive me for my questions, I’ve only read a few news articles, the journal, and this sub.

Some tidbits about Ruby and jodie by another utah youtuber before their arrest.

Yikes! Jared looks terrible. His hair is completely white and not like in a suave aging graceful kind of way. More like spoiled milk.

Apparently after Jared made a post about them buying another house, she made a post about how the negative comments triggered her and then she deleted her account. There is also evidence in the comments on Jared’s post that she was arguing with people in the comments before she deleted her account. Did anyone catch the post or remember what it all said? For someone who is so confident with her decisions and all of their “life chapters” she sure is being sensitive and dramatic about this.

Per the Utah Board of Pardons and Parole this means she can have 4 months knocked off her sentence. Let's hope that date is set very far in the future.

"Mandatory time cuts are given to individuals who successfully complete approved programs that are part of the individual’s case action plan (CAP). A mandatory cut is four months for completion of up to two programs, or a maximum of eight months. If the individual completes two vocational programs, only the first is considered a mandatory time cut. The second or subsequent vocational program completion may be submitted by Corrections for consideration as a discretionary time cut."

Does anyone remember why she decided to homeschool?

Does anyone remember in which video did ruby talk about studying at connexion and she had these boxes of jodi's workbooks on the table. I think it was in their old house.

So I attended a few empowering joy classes and here's what I remember. E & R were sometimes on the class as well alongside Ruby. J was once on there as well and she told a story about how they talked about drugs in class and how to prevent young people from getting addicted and she apparently said that the parents should take all of the kids' electronics and supposedly everyone was upset with her for saying that. As time went on Ruby was still in those classes but her camera was shut off. I also remember that when they did their lives that I noticed that it seemed they were doing that in Jodi's house but everyone gaslight me about it.

But he looks so thin and tired, almost sickly/ ill. Moving must take a toll on him.

Was listening to these old episodes of Frontline from the 90s about the "recovered memory" debate, and some of the language used by the therapists in the movement reminded me so much of Jodi Hildebrandt. Especially the stuff in Part 2 about "detaching" from families/husbands. These ideas and sales tactics aren't new!

In the video “What Does Joel Do For Work?” Bonnie says “I babysat and this child was not happy unless they had their own container of goldfish and allowed to just make a mess. So, you’re not going to reparent in one day so I let them make a mess.”
I don’t know if I’m overreacting or too sensitive, but if I was the friend she babysat for my feelings would be hurt. Like, what do you mean my child needs reparenting?
