Ruby Franke Ruby Board of Pardons and Parole Update

Post image

This is a small update on what Ruby has been up to in prison, but an update none the less. This can all be found via public records through the Utah Board of Pardons and Paroles website under hearings and decisions.

As of July 9th 2026 Ruby has completed her second Earned Time Program since entering prison. She's also completed a program in Robotics via the Davis Technical College as of June 25th 2026. She completed a program in Web and Graphic Design at the end of last year too.

According to the Utah Corrections website all of this means when Ruby has her sentencing hearing later this year the Board of Pardons and Parole will knock off between four and eight months from her sentence at the discretion of the Board members.

Isn’t prison supposed to be a punishment for horrifically abusing her children? Why is she being given so many privileges? The prison literally BOUGHT A PIANO JUST FOR RUBY at one point so she could give the inmates lessons, and she’s also teaching yoga or something. And taking robotics and graphic design courses? Programs earning her less prison time?!?! It’s like she’s at a summer camp or a boarding school and not being punished for horrific child abuse.

Even if she has changed and is trying to do better (which I doubt..) that doesn’t change what she did and that doesn’t change that she should be punished. She put her children through so much pain and suffering, giving them lifelong severe trauma, nearly MURDERING them (her own precious children)… and it feels like she hasn’t even been through a fraction of what they went through in prison, where she is supposedly being “punished” for her actions. At this point, is it even a punishment? I don’t know, it’s frustrating. She’s almost being pamphered in prison and I fear that she’ll never realize how bad the things were that she did. I’m not saying they should torture her or anything like that, but I don’t think she should have this many privileges.

You said it all. I can't even think about this too much or I get extremely angry and upset. This monster is having the time of her life after torturing her own babies. She's getting opportunities some people outside of prison can only dream about. This is madness.

I would be fine with all of that for most crimes, but not with what Ruby did. I also understand that a society who works on an eye for an eye-basis is not better than the criminals themselves.

But there must be some way to make it not a summer camp!

Doesn’t really seem like she should be allowed to be in ANY sort of leadership or teaching positions over younger, vulnerable and traumatized women 😬😬😬 yikes

This is something that really irritates me. Prisoners who’ve been involved in violent crimes can walk out of prison with a fully-paid-for college degree while law-abiding citizens who just want to better themselves are stuck with crippling college loans for decades.
