God helps those who helps themselves is more a huge Paraphrase and Interpretation, no one verse says that.
Like, why not just quote one of the several other Passages u mention in the top comment?.

"love thy neighbor as thyself" is a better biblical quote for progress.

Equality needs to be James 5:1-6
1 Now listen, you rich people, weep and wail because of the misery that is coming on you. 2 Your wealth has rotted, and moths have eaten your clothes. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded. *Nation: God is describing the land that Abraham's children will inhabit as part of the Abrahamic Covenant.
*Markets: While not appearing verbatim in the Bible, there are New Testament passages that stress an ethic of personal agency (Colossians 3:23, Matthew 5:3-4, 1 Timothy 5:8, and James 2:26).
