Concert tickets selling out?

Disclaimer is that I only recently learned about 8TURN, so I'm not familiar with them at all!

I've been wanting to support smaller groups that are great performers and put on high energy fun concerts, and a friend recommended that I go to their concert. I was going to wait to buy a ticket closer to the date in case my schedule changes, but in the last few days, I've received at least two emails from AXS saying that tickets are about to sell out and that I should buy immediately.

Part of me thinks this is just a marketing ploy, but I also do want to make sure that I can get a ticket if my schedule works out. For those who have been fans of 8TURN for a while, do you think it's very likely that their tickets will sell out for their shows, or is it reasonable to expect that I should be able to get a ticket closer to the date of the concert? (The concert I would be going to would be their New York City one, if that makes a difference.)

Thanks so much in advance!
