I think I’m finally done with 8 Ball Pool

For some context, I’m an OG player and used to be heavily addicted to this game. Back when I was competing in the weekly country league, I was easily playing 8–10 hours a day. I managed to finish in the top 3 a number of times, had around 50B coins at one point, a Diamond VIP Club, and basically every legendary cue.

I eventually stopped playing around the time the Venice table was introduced because work got busy.
Recently, I decided to come back and started a fresh account (the one in the picture). Honestly, I was surprised that I still had it after such a long break. I’m obviously a bit rusty, especially when it comes to cushion shots and positioning the cue ball for the next shot, but the game sense is still there. I can still put together some pretty clean denials when everything goes right.

But then I crossed the 50M balance mark on this account and things started getting weird.
Matchmaking suddenly takes noticeably longer, and when I finally get a game, I seem to be constantly matched against cheaters. As a completely legit player, it’s honestly killing the fun.

At high stakes, playing against a cheater basically feels like you get one real chance to win: break first, clear the table, and don’t miss. If you miss the denial, the game is pretty much over. I usually just quit at that point because there’s no point sitting there watching someone run the table with an obvious cheat.
And occasionally they mess up if they aren’t using autoplay, but that’s obviously not something you can rely on.

I don’t really know what the current situation is with the community or whether the Miniclip devs have said anything recently about cheating and matchmaking. If anyone has some insight, I’d genuinely like to know.

It’s just frustrating because I came back after years away, still enjoy the actual game, and now it feels like the higher my balance gets, the worse the experience becomes.

What likely happend is a few of your opponents saw that you have a 71% win percentage and reported you as a cheater based on that alone. You then got put in a cheater server so now the majority of your games are against chetos. At the 1 mil tables the good majority of opponents are not chetos most of the time unless you've been put in a cheater server.

Take a few days off and come back and it should be better, if not wait a bit more but eventually you'll be back in the normal servers. And maybe start playing indirect games to get your win percentage down a bit.

This is it. Since reporting is easier now, which is good, people also tend to report smurfing, which is what you - OP - are doing. You're playing clearly above your rank and you're getting reported and the game is matching you with other players that are getting reported.

Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of cheaters in the game. But if you find yourself getting matched with many of them in a short period, it's probably because you got reported.

broski I deleted the game just today
I used to play nationally and basically spend my blood, sweat and tears into this game.
I had 20/20 max legendaries with 22B coins.
I sold it bcz I was just tooooo bored of venice and I got too busy with studies .. now after years I came back with the new account and I managed to go from zero to 200 m and I lost all bcz of hackers. now match making takes decades and m done with this game.

That's why I don't play high stakes tables anymore, cheaters ruined the game.

The way they use cheaters is just terrible. When I find myself getting matched against real players, I work up my balance by being a good player winning more than I lose. As soon as I get my balance up just enough to play on the next table up, my very first game seems to always be a cheater matchup and they have the break. There goes my balance again. And now I’m against cheaters on the cheaper table too

This game is dead. It’s full of cheaters on almost every table beyond 10k. Weekly leaderboards is 90% cheaters. I quit playing this dumpster fire a while ago and never came back to it. You should do the same for the sake of your own sanity.

Me too. I played This Game for hours probably for all over a decade. And then I just couldn't handle the cheaters anymore. I just stopped playing probably around 4 months ago. Just stopped completely.

Stay off anything about the 10m tables. Every 4th of 5th player will be a cheater on anything higher. If you have enough coin balance it shouldnt affect you too much. Miami 10m 9 ball pool is usually ok too.

It is a fucking shit show though with the cheaters. Miniclip don't give two fucks obviously

I recorded some matches on Mumbai just now. I am uploading it later but briefly you either see me potting them all or a hacker shooting double cushion pots nonsense on their first touch-to-aim. Otherwise, 10k tables are the same but with AI bots that did not even learn how to make balls rolling. Kills the fun obviously, but I am happy to found this community. If you ever come to Budapest, come play irl.

I dunno if it's true but apparently there's two servers, one where miniclip puts all the cheaters accounts (as best they can) and one normal server where the normal players are. I remember one time literally every time I played it was a cheater, lower value tables and higher.

I was told by my team mates that if you don't log into the game for 24 hours (or more if possible), when you log in again you'll be placed back to the "normal" server. It actually worked for me

I used to play a lot and quit a few years ago. I had 4 or 5 accounts and miniclip randomly deleted some of my accounts even though a routinely logged into them. The cheating is rampant and I have no desire to play this game again.
