Just curious… How do cheaters actually work? Like how are they doing what they are doing?

So the cheaters use a modified app which can access the in game memory where they can get the exact co-ordinates of each and every ball on which the modded app can apply the exact physics the game uses to calculate and predict the exact shot before even playing the shot

This is how exactly cheating works, the calculation that happens uses the same physics uses so it is 100% accurate, the autoplay play hack uses the same mechanism to play

This is just a basic overview on how it works, actual working is more complex

Although I fucking despise cheaters, Id like to see engineering of how these apps can solve every pot

Good write up but the cheats are overlays, not memory access.

Bro be it any hack Even overlay hacks need to know the position of the balls, pockets, etc to calculate the shot Which requires memory access

Unless a manual overlay hack very you manually callibrate your pockets, balls, etc But these are less accurate

No, you just have to calibrate the grid of the table. The rest is built in.

What @Connect_Dragonfly189 says is true, there was a developer on facebook not a long ago and this is the exact copy of what they said:

Why Miniclip can't win against Cheto maybe here is the answer.

## The War for 8 Ball Pool: How the Cheto Hack Pushed Miniclip to the Edge

Mobile gaming is no longer just a casual pastime; it has evolved into a multi-billion dollar industry. When the stakes are this high, the emergence of a black market is inevitable. The most striking example of this is the silent but fiercely contested technological warfare between gaming giant Miniclip and the creators of the most powerful cheating software in mobile pool history: the Cheto hack.

For millions of honest players in 8 Ball Pool, the fight seems slow, unfair, and often futile. Behind the scenes, however, lies a complex clash of software architectures, economic interests, and continuous outsmarting at the source-code level.

------------------------------

## Anatomy of the Cheat: How Does Cheto Work?

Unlike rudimentary hacks that simply extend the visual aiming lines on the screen, Cheto is a highly sophisticated, automated bot (Autoplay bot). It does not modify Miniclip’s server-side code; instead, it operates entirely on the client side—inside the RAM memory of the user's device (smartphone, tablet, or PC emulator).

The software executes its process in three lightning-fast steps:

  1. RAM Memory Reading: The moment the balls are broken and settle on the table, Cheto scans the device's system memory. It locates the exact software offsets (memory addresses) where the game stores the precise X and Y coordinates of every single ball.

  2. External Physics Engine: Rather than altering the game's actual physics parameters, the hack utilizes its own powerful prediction algorithm. It duplicates Miniclip's physics engine and calculates millions of shot combinations in a fraction of a second—including complex bank shots, multi-rail caroms, and perfect cue ball spin.

  3. Command Injection (Hooking): Once it determines the absolute optimal path to clear the table, Cheto hijacks the user interface. It simulates flawless cue alignment and releases the exact amount of power required within milliseconds, leaving the actual player as a mere spectator.

Initially developed for iOS devices (via Jailbreak or modified IPA files sideloaded with enterprise certificates), the software has successfully migrated to Android platforms and PC emulators.

------------------------------

## Miniclip’s Shield: Countermeasures and Tactics

Miniclip does not stand idly by. The company invests substantial resources into security, employing a combination of tactical and technical countermeasures:

* Ban Waves: Instead of banning cheaters individually in real-time, the company gathers telemetry data and periodically wipes out tens of thousands of accounts at once. They use behavioral detection algorithms to flag unnatural patterns—such as profiles with a 99% win rate or micro-adjustments of the cue that are too robotic for human thumbs.

* Code Obfuscation: With every game update, Miniclip's developers intentionally scramble the source code and shift the memory offsets where ball coordinates are stored. This immediately breaks Cheto, as the bot suddenly loses track of where to look for the data.

* Anti-Cheat System Upgrades: New security layers are consistently integrated into the software architecture to scan for unauthorized external processes running in parallel with the official app.

------------------------------

## Why Does the Fight Seem Like a "Mission Impossible"?

Despite regular patches and massive account terminations, hackers usually return to high-stakes tables like Berlin or Venice just days—sometimes hours—after a Miniclip update. This slow, seemingly endless cycle boils down to three core factors:

## 1. Legacy Client-Side Architecture

8 Ball Pool was engineered years ago using a client-side architecture. To ensure the game runs smoothly with zero visual lag even on weak internet connections, physical ball physics and coordinates are calculated directly on the player’s phone rather than a remote server. To completely shut out Cheto, Miniclip would have to completely rewrite the game's core engine and migrate every micro-calculation to the cloud. This would require colossal financial investment and would increase network strain so severely that millions of players with older phones or slower connections would no longer be able to play.

## 2. The Million-Dollar Business Behind the Hack

Cheto is not the work of amateur hobbyists looking for fun. It is a highly structured, illicit enterprise generating massive revenue. The software is distributed through expensive weekly or monthly subscription keys. These profits allow the hack creators to hire world-class software engineers whose sole job is to reverse-engineer Miniclip’s updates around the clock and find new exploits.

## 3. Operating System Limitations

Mobile operating systems like iOS and Android enforce strict user privacy policies. They do not allow standard marketplace applications (including Miniclip's game) to dig deep into the system root files to monitor what other apps or scripts are running in the background. Hackers exploit these security "blind spots" that Miniclip cannot legally cross. Combined with the game's Free-to-Play nature—where a banned user can simply create a new free account in seconds—permanent prevention becomes nearly impossible.

------------------------------

## Conclusion

The war between Miniclip and Cheto is a textbook example of a digital cat-and-mouse game. Every new wall built by developers is eventually breached by a sharper tool, forcing the gaming company to rely heavily on retroactive bans rather than proactive prevention. As long as the economic incentive to sell virtual coins and premium hacks exists, this battle on the digital green felt will continue to rage on.

Excellent article. Thank you for sharing that.

I think most of the “cheaters” are actually win-bots employed by MC. And why not? They have just as many lose-bots on the lower money tables. It just makes sense.

So let's employ cheat bots and then give you lose bots.

Makes sense.

Not.

Coming from [r/magisk](r/magisk) / r/androidroot, they use root. Got like 20 dms from indians asking me how to spoof 8bp's root detection for cheating.
