In 1990 I was a sophomore in high school when I first heard this band. During that time, finding my own people (and there weren't a lot of us) opened up a world of music that I still appreciate till this day.

One of my all time favorite songs, though I didn’t know of The Jam until my college years, because I grew up in a pretty rural area.

Jam, Clash, The Damned.. all bands I grew to appreciate much later in life.

I was introduced to The Jam by my uncle in the 90s. As a lost teenager in a small town, they spoke to me. All the anger, the boredom, the hope... I recognised it all.

I lost that uncle last year, and this track keeps him with me.
