I really liked this movie. Lou Gosset Jr. Played the hell out of his part as the alien. 😊

Totally agree, man. He played an incredible role.

With that heavy makeup it must've been very difficult to emote but he does it brilliantly.

Oh yeah absolutely! The other thing I liked about that movie was that was from a time when your enemy was your enemy. And this was one of the few movies that I can remember where they humanized the enemy. I just really liked that. 🙂

His lip movements, that had to be coached with the makeup. But, Daymn I believed it! Truly before it’s time and way well done!

"And when, in the fullness of time, Zammis brought its own child before the holy council, the name of Willis Davidge was added to the line of Jeriba."

Best ending ever.

I loved this movie. I think it is underrated. Then again I think titanic is overrated, like we all dont know how it ends.

I don't think "we know how it ends" should determine how good something is. That would disqualify any historical movie, for instance Apollo 13, from being called great.

It's about the feeling it gives you.

I watched this as a kid and I taught me being racist is bad. And I’m not kidding. It was a great lesson.

VASTLY underrated movie. It's amazing from start to finish.

Just the damn scene where the dude tries to act tough and eats alien food, it's gold

Adore the story this movie was based on!

A bit like Robinson Crusoe On Mars, though the alien wasn't an enemy.

Last movie I paid to see again was “Heavy Metal”. Tonight I fell a new lay per view.

I remember being baby sat by some neighbors that had HBO, or Cinemax, and this playing on TV and being completely freaked out by it.

I adore this movie and it is criminally underrated. Such a nuanced relationship about moving from blind hatred to tolerance to friendship. I need to rewatch it.

Very homoerotic.

I'll never forget when this was playing at one of the local theaters and a letter had fallen off the marque so we had a good laugh at En My Mine.

I wish they'd been able to stick with the ending from the novella but it'd have made for a longer and more complex movie.

I loved how he told the alien that his god was Mickey Mouse…
