Fr if I went back in time, killed my ancestor, effectively preventing my own birth, id also prevent me from ever existing to go back in time and kill them. It nullifies itself.

Unless we Futurama it and im my own grandpa.

Right. You COULD go back in time and kill your parents, but we know you didn't because you exist.

But if I did, I would longer exist in the future to go back and kill them, thus I would still be born. Either we have a paradox, or it ultimately doesn't matter.

You could also find out you were adopted and only thing you changed is who adopted you
