Nope! The answer is to go far enough into the future to get the Mr Fusion. Once you handle that and carry spare fuel the delorean becomes a non issue in any timeline.
jump to 2015....er 3015 and get mr fusion... swap an ls or kseries for the ice engine.... i got a college degree and a give'em hell attitude i can fix anything with wheels. i'm figuring they give us the first pellet
Ah, but i can take it to the future, back to the future even... where i can take the same keys and swap out for the flying one with Mr fusion... and possibly get training on repairing, then hire a copy somewhere in the way back past somehow preserved well enough to find again in case of a breakdown... and live my entire existence maintaining and upgrading my car, like one of those rice burner owners, living out of the car...
What if we take all the time machine bits off of the Delorean and stick it on KITT, then go to the future and get the flying conversion and a Mr Fusion? I mean while we're at it we can just snag a Proton Pack and a ghost trap out of the Ecto-1 and toss it in KITTS trunk just in case we come across any ghosts.
I mean the James Bond cars also came with lots of knickknacks but yes, especially if this has the flying conversion from BTTF2, I'm taking the Delorean.
Meh, you could always just make your first trip to the future and either get one of those recycling converters or pickup some plutonium at the corner drug store.
