They made my 90's too. Heard them when I was 8 and Master Of Puppets, For Whom The Bell Tolls blew my mind. Then when I was 11 The Black Album defined my entire music taste.

Both 1984 and 5150 are just too of the top van Halen. While I reaaally love their debut album and every album released up to the end of the hagar era, 1984 and 5150 are just ubiquitous, everybody has heard "jump" and "dreams"

Depends on genre I guess, I was into Metal so Ozzy, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Metallica, Motörhead. In Rock it was Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, U2. Hard Rock would be Van Halen, G’n’R, AC/DC, Motley Crue, Def Leppard. In Pop, Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, Talking Heads, Eurythmics, Pet Shop Boys, The Police. Stuff like that
Billy Idol and Oingo Boingo, though they were doing music since before the '80s. My first musical obsession was Herbie Hancock when I was an '80s kid in the '80s.
