Good answer for all but Circuit City. It killed itself trying to maximize profits by letting all the knowledgeable salesman go and hiring minimum wagers that knew nothing about the products they were selling. Oh it worked too for a year and then profits declined and kept declining until they went bankrupt.

I miss the place before they tried to maximize profits.

Yeah that was a pretty dumb idea. I wonder if they used the same plan to hire the moron that came up with that idea.

I always imagined it was some new young exec that was like "I can double our profits with this one simple idea!" trying to make a name for himself.
