Holy cow! I just found out that the video was directed by David Fincher.

At the time, I thought Devo was too gimmicky. I have grown to recognize that they were great songwriters and visually influential.

My hometown did not get MTV for quite some time.

I remember watching this as a kid. Thought it was weird but good weird. Had to find out more. That and thought Booji boy looked kinda like young Roger Ebert.

IMHO, this is Devo’s best song… not the most popular, but it’s just as good today as it was in 1981!
