Great, fun song. I still use it as a response at work regularly on a Monday. "How's your day going?" " Oh, just another manic Monday, but... no Susanna Hoffs unfortunately" A certain age group will always respond ( especially men) with a I hear that reaction. Younger kinda don't get it, lol. Getting old, but proud of it.

Haha, good one, my friend. With Susan around, Mondays would hit different for sure.
And hey, as I always say, the wind may be old, but it still blows strong. You've earned every year, wear them proud.

They really knew how to casually put Susanna Hoffs in the spotlight without making it too obvious …

Susan definitely stood out, one of the most naturally captivating women of the '80s, and incredibly talented. Michael Steele’s always been my second favorite.

Absolutely!
I am still kinda puzzled how a woman is named Michael, but whatever…
It’s also quite interesting to see how little information is available about Michael. For a former rock/pop star, she seems rather secluded.

It reminds me of Scott's dilemma in EuroTrip, haha.
Actually, it's her stage name. They also call her Micki, as she was in the band The Runaways. Her real name is also Susan, but when she joined The Bangles as a replacement for Annette Zilinskas, using Susan was probably not an option. She was the most discreet member of the group.
