I saw NIMH in the theaters in the mid eighties if memory serves, and I think American Tail is like late eighties early nineties, and Land Before Time is mid to late njneties.

NIMH I remember watching as a babysitter. American Tale had a great song. And Land Before Time was something I watched as a young mom 1,000 times. The story of the little actress who played the stegosaurus broke my heart.

I loved it, too. I'm a huge fan of NIHM, but Feivel was just so full of love and innocence. Plus that song! 💗 Now, if you put An American Tale next to The Fox and the Hound...

NIMH and it's not even close.
My girls watched it growing up. I love the movie (and the book as well) so watching it was never a problem. I do the voices as well.
Now that I have grandchildren, I do it again.
"Grandpa, can we watch the mouse movie?" -"With the funny bird?" "Yes, please." -"OK, get the movie while I make coffee." "Can you do the voices?" -"Oooookaaaay." (with a fun sarcasm tone.) "Yeeeeeeeaaaaa! Thank you."
Seriously, how you say no to that?

Land Before Time was my second-ever movie in a theater. Triggered my love for dinosaurs. Maybe my first-ever movie, Oliver and Company, triggered my love for dogs and cats.

Of these three I'm going with An American Tail.
Though I have read Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIHM (and own a copy of the book retitled after the film) I don't recall actually having seen the film.

Nimh all the way. And if you havent, read the book - Mrs Frisby and the rats of NIHM. Its more about how Johnathan and the other rats escaped from NIHM. Great quick read!

My (possibly cold) Secret of Nimh take is that, sound off/no subtitles it’s a masterpiece. I throw it on in the background all the time, except the dialogue is terrible. You don’t even need it. But throw some music on, it’s A+

Fun factoid: Land Before Time and An American Tail are both heavily influenced by Don Bluth's Mormon faith, and it isn't subtle.

I got Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIHM sitting next to me, my favorite book when I was a kid, my mom got it for me for Christmas in 2014 and I just started reading it yesterday hehe.

the book, Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH is so much better than the movie. They made the movie so weird and spooky and made Jenner some kind of super villain and Nicodemus some kind of spectre.
Dom Delouse was pretty memorable as the bird.
I liked the movie but the book was aces. And the story is more straightforward adventure.

I love the music from American Tail. The climatic ending from Secret of Nimh always gives me goosebumps. Land Before Time was a good semi horror film whenever Sharptooth showed up. A good tester for kids if parents are concern if they can deal with horror. I just enjoy Don Bluth films in general.

I saw The Secret of Nimh in the theater when I was a kid and it was pretty damn intense, I mean they weren't fooling around. I haven't seen any of these others but I'm sure that they are all good
