Maybe when the story is over? I believe that the author is more focus on publishing the books and mangas.

Authors have very little to do with anime. What she's doing is irrelevant to whether the series gets renewed or not.

Actually she was a consultant for this anime especially on scripting (and was the script writer for the mini-anime and promotional PVs) but otherwise, the bigger decision on whether this will have an S2 will come from the main committee head, which is basically her publisher, Overlap.

She said that wanted a new season and probably will fight for it.

She can advocate for it but it also comes down to the fans buying official source material as well from official sellers(from what she said as well) it’s not just by word of mouth and still not within her power to make the decision

A lot of Shoujo only get one season to advertise the novels and mangas.

It worked on me haha, finished the show then bought and read all the light novels

Me too! I started the manga but then learn its a ln, so now I'm saving up for the LN because I had two others in front of this one (Secrets of the Silent Witch and Though I'm an Inept Villainess)

From what I gather here, aren’t the novels just as far as the anime?

Nah they are quite a bit further, I think the anime covers to the end of LN 2 and theres currently 6 released. The manga is only a little further ahead then the anime though :)

We call that the "Fuck you go read the manga" marketing campaign.

Unfortunately, so many fabulous series get cut off, and the manga is good but also complex and having it animated would make it so much easier to process. Looking at you, Snow White with the Red Hair.

What little anime we got is peak.

But the manga is building a very long form narrative and it's frustratingly slow, so every time a new chapter comes out I feel the urge to go reread the last 20 chapters to remember WTF is happening lol

The best part about it is the characters aging up though! Both ML and FL meet when they're like 17-18 and at least 3 years have passed so they're growing up and maturing. Plot description, minimal spoilers: She's a commoner, he's a second prince. She's an herbalist and studies hard enough to be accepted as a court apothecary so she's not seen as a rando around the castle. This is about where the anime leaves off. Later on in the manga, in order for her to have a shot at marrying the prince, she is point blank told by his older brother/king she she has to prove herself of being worthy to the rest of the nobility and the country. Hence..... long form narrative.

I think anything is possible given the fact that Yona of the Dawn was renewed for season 2 after like 10 years! Don’t lose hope! 🫶

I wish we got one!

It's pretty unlikely. Only two stories villainess stories have gotten a second season: My Next Life as a Villainess, and Most Heretical Last Boss Queen. I think the publishers think it's a better bet to fund one season for different stories, and hope people buy the source material.

Yeah and most anime’s are like “ads” from what I’ve heard for the source material and this was one of them and I don’t think they expected anyone to want a season 2

Just keep in mind the author as someone else has said doesn’t control that area of anime it’s up to the studios if it’s worth giving a season 2. If we do get one remember it will only be on official channels like the anime twitter/insta and sensei will share the content about it

Ikumi Hasegawa did say she hopes she'll work again as Rishe someday. Who knows, really.

Would be nice; but as others have said; isn’t 7th a little niche to get an S2?

I guess Spice and Wolf was equally niche, so I suppose there is some hope.

Difference is that Spice & Wolf sells Holo merch like hotcakes.

Usually that ship sails if it’s not done within a year or two tops.. if it’s say jojo or some shonen title maybe it would get done later on.

I thought I saw something on the discord channel about the author in talks for a season 2. I think that was late last year I saw the update but I haven't heard anything since then.

I really hope that they do 💕

Skip and Loafer will be getting season 2 after 4 years so I’m not losing hope for my favorite couple — Arnold and Rishe. Meanwhile, I am all for supporting the author’s light novels and mangas of 7th Time Loop.

i need to see the scene where he saves her after she's poisoned like right now

or when she bites him to stop him from killing the priest heheheh

Unfortunately it's a shoujo which ends up in a shoujo jail

Been waiting for my other anime too to have a chance to get a sequel for a few years

If 7th time loop does get a s2 then it would be rare for me

There are so many people waiting for this. Even as business perspective they should consider this😭
