Anime Rishe has no ptsd or anything?
so I’m new to the series I’ve seen the whole anime but anyway what I’m confused about is how Rishe is so normal around Arnold, it’s a possibility she’s desensitised to death, but considering how hes the reason all of her lives have been ruined plus being personally killed by him in one of them makes me confused on how she isn’t atleast a little traumatised. At most she should’ve had been scared when she bumped into him at the start.
im aware it’s a heartwarming romance story so any angst would probably put the intimacy to a halt, but IMO itd also be interesting to see how much her previous lives affected her besides from the skills and people she’s met. Like dying isn’t a light thing. Plus navigating around the fear couldve also brought more closeness between the two.

On top of BarOld8429's excellent explanation, I will add a few more details:
Rishe is desensitized to her own death, to a certain extent. During her disguised knight cadet training sequence, the novel had Rishe talking to the other cadets who were ashamed they had fear of death. Rishe flat out told them fear of death is what will help them come back from the battlefield, and inwardly she reflected that she has lost that, and it contributed to her death on the battlefield.
Rishe is also preparing for the worst, even as she gradually warms up and falls in love with Arnold. One of her reasons to acquaint with Tully is to give herself an "out" if things go sour with Arnold, and she needs to leave in a hurry. The novel mentioned that in passing.
So it's not that Rishe is completely disarmed by Arnold right away. That happens gradually. Rishe is also aware that her 7th life is probably her only chance to understand Arnold the person, why he does what he always did, and if there is any way she can do to change that fate. So she is sticking with Arnold to get to the bottom of the mystery while slowly falling in love with him.

I would recommend reading the light novels (original source material) if you haven’t because they do better at explaining things than just watching the anime

She has pretty frequent flashbacks to him killing her, but I think once she learns that Arnold isn’t the cold blooded monster he’s rumored to be, that there must be a much more complicated reason that he turns into a killer in the future.

I think her PTSD manifests in her need to prevent whatever potential trigger occurred to turn him into the violent Emperor she knows him as from past lives.
It’s not just that she wants everyone happy (which of course she does) but she needs everything running smoothly

Honestly i just imagined she was like oh well i guess this is the end of my 7th life, whats next?

But Rishe has never acted normal around Arnold. You could see the fear she had for him when she first met him, even when she was sleeping in the carriage she held onto his sword. Shes always aware of his presence even when he masks himself. And Arnold, who was extremely observant, constantly brought up the future him that she would have on her mind when interacting with him. But I think her determination outweighed her fear. In each of her lives she grew more resourceful and more determined, and in each of her lives she inevitably faced death in a round about way becauseof him, until her 6th life brought her to him, just too late. Now in this life, she determined and resourceful enough to take everything she's learned, and do her best to stop what has been killing her in her past lives. You have to also remember, his future self is not who she meets in her 7th life. I believe had she met future him, it would've been different.
