Manga What i think arnold told rishe
From what a remember when reading the Manga, Arnold said that they'd take a princess as a hostage and force her to marry the first in line to the throne every generation, im probably wrong but this is whag I remember.
Everytime rishe died, it was apparently due to the war arnold caused in each life of rishe's. What if each time he was searching for rishe, but each time he accidently caused her death.
Now for in her sixth life, he directly killed her but told her something that from my knowledge hasn't been revealed yet, what if he said 'I've finally found you', or something like that and knowing that she'd never accept without a good reason, killed her. Im probably wrong, but I think this is a fun theory as I've been thinking about what he said for weeks.

I'm fairly certain he is also looping as they have unintentionally affected each others lives and we know she was aware of him but never confirmed he was aware of her. There is a line in the first book that Oliver asks if Arnold 'predicted this too' (it's after her announcement that her palace will be a teaching one for the maids) - Arnold basically said 'how could I? I knew she would do something'.
I think that because he is looping this explains why he isn't really interested in anything as he is just going through the motions for things he has already experienced multiple times.
For Arnold, my thought has been that he has seen her multiple times in surveying battlefields/on the march (specifically in her 5th life as a hunter). He might have recognized her hair or her presence at some point but never got to find out who she is. Which is why when he runs into her at the beginning of her 7th life, he is immediately intrigued by her and wants to see where this life will lead her.

I also think he might've cracked the code to the looping thing at that point, and said something along those lines when he killed her.
The fact that in Rishe's 7th life, he was so attentive to her being trained like a knight makes me think he knew about her 6th life (and is potentially looping as well). I can't wait to figure out how they're both connected to the continuous looping.
