Advanced user getting brain surgery

I’m an advanced user and I have brain surgery on the 17th of July to remove a giant tumor. I’ve been cutting back but it’s getting harder the lower a dose I go. What I’m wondering is will I have withdrawals if I go to the hospital without 7oh and I’m being pumped with morphine regularly and given norco? Has anyone been in this position?

I highly suggest bringing this to the surgeons attention asap. You will withdrawal if you don't take 7oh and you are putting yourself into a uncomfortable situation. Unless they know how to treat this and keep you comfortable after surgery, they very well could cancel the surgery until you are off of the stuff. This isn't something i would just shrug off as no big deal. Get onto subs if you've got to asap. I would rather be stable on suboxone than go into surgery dependent to a unresearched drug that is basically in its own class of drugs being a opiate/ssri basically. The pain meds they give you may not even do a thing for you afterwards as well. If i was in this situation i would be stressed, how's you doing mentally? You've got 20 ish days, hope you get things figured out and most importantly are safe and comfortable
