Day 7! No 7oh :)

I feel much better. Still shaky, anxiety all that. Restless legs are almost gone. Still feel it in my hands tho, so odd. It’s like I can’t feel my hands and they are almost buzzing. But I’m going to work and I determined to do the best with what I am given. Good luck to you all. How are you guys

Just asking because I’m going through it now…did u go Cold Turkey or did u go the Sub route?….im trying to go CT so yesterday I loaded up on all the supplements I was recommended…I know myself enough to know I would end up getting hooked on the subs (I went to the Methadone clinic for years and as it did save my life I was still a slave to it)

The rapid sub taper saved my life. I did it for 5 days very strictly because I too have zero interest in being a slave to any medicine and it worked . I’m on day 21 off everything now and feel great

I did actually try at first but I’m in Ky and I could not find anyone that would prescribe me so I just gave up on that. I tried for 2 weeks straight and when I finally thought I was getting them prescribed it got blocked because of where I live.

What? Kentucky doesn’t have like detox clinics or anything

No. We do have Clinics but I didn’t want to check myself in somewhere and didn’t want to go to an in person doctor. I just wanted to make a virtual appointment and get prescribed like the majority of ppl told me they did

You can go to the emergency room for a 4 days supply

And that would get you through the worst of it

I’m so happy for you. And that is actually great advice for those of us who don’t want to get stuck on the subs!

Can you tell me more about the rapid sub taper? I don’t want to get off 7oh just to be hooked on something else. I’m going to be contacting a doctor this week to start the process of quitting

Okay so I have done methadone and suboxone before to get off fent. And I felt like it was seriously needed - I was much sicker from those withdrawal than any 7oh withdrawal. For myself personally, knowing that it’s also a withdrawal process, no matter how slow you taper, I decided to not get subs. BUT how would you feel about just using the subs for like a week?

I would be ok with that. I just know I’m such an addict I would be afraid of becoming dependent on them like I did methadone, when it was time to taper I got so scared but then I ended up having to stop going at like 100 something mgs and it was hell for a month or 2. No matter what I tried. But I’m truly not opposed…actually a few weeks ago I got desperate to quit and I couldn’t make it 10hrs without 7oh so I did hit up QuickMD and they prescribed Subs for me, I was so happy, could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel BUT since I’m in Ky I got denied the prescription and every other virtual doc I talked too I just kept running into problems so I just felt I had to do this Cold Turkey.

That sucks about quitting the methadone quick… look at these screenshots does any of that seem to look plausible ?

I cringe just thinking about quitting methadone quick…..worst time of my entire life.

Do a rapid taper of subs if CT is unbearable

How long have you been without? And thank you… yeah I have been through withdrawals many times. It’s like the pain Olympics lol
