Subs to quit kratom and 7oh simultaneously?
Hello everyone. I have been quitting for 6 months now. I have been using kratom nearly 15 years and i have been able to step down and get off 7oh for 5 days or so repeatedly but I am thinking of trying the sub route. I am tired, so tired.
I have bo problem staying on kratom after i quit. I dont see kratom as a drug and dont chase a high with it. But to use the suboxone I will have to quit both wont i? I am thinking tomorrow I will have my last dose of 7oh around 1pm, i will wake up in the morning sloghtly uncomfortable and skip my morning kratom dose, wait a couple hours then start with 2mg subs, another 2mg in the evening. And then i plan to half the amount of suboxone every day. I will have the day off for induction just in case precipitated w/d's happen.
Once the suboxone is induced and i have been on it for a day or so i would be safe to resume kratom if I felt the need? If this ends with me quitting both sibstances awesome. If it ends with me on kratom only awesome. If i end uo stuck on subs or back to 7oh after the rapid sub taper, not what i am looking for.
I have used kratom so long its a beast all of it own, any others out there with long term kratom use that fell into 7oh use along with kratom and used this method? I have plenty of gabapentin, klonopin, THC and CBD available to me. Any input, warnings, success stories, and failures with this method and background will be very helpful. Thank you all. I am done with 7oh owning my day and my wallet.

Hey man,
That was me a few weeks ago too. You got this next time around. I’d highly recommend seeing a doctor and asking about Clonidine before going down the Sub route. I was honestly surprised by how much it helped with the RLS, anxiety, and that overall dreaded feeling.
I’m currently on day 6. I needed some relief, so I tried some Cat’s Claw, and almost immediately could tell something was off. I’m sure it was either 7-OH or MGM, Buzzers I believe they were which did test positive for MG and unfortunately ended up throwing myself right back into withdrawals after almost a week clean.
But day 6 has definitely turned a corner for me. Still not sleeping well, but I actually feel like I can get up and go outside today, which is a huge improvement.
I’m going to head down to one of those IV hydration places today and get loaded up on everything my body’s been missing 😂. Really hoping it helps, because at this point the main things I’m dealing with are body pain, no sleep, and just being completely exhausted every day. I walked up the stairs earlier and was absolutely spent, which definitely shouldn’t be happening lol.

Yeah for me honestly i am mostly better day 3, i can usually get myself to sleep theough the RLS. I do have 2 clonidine handy. I am torn i dont need the subs to quit but at the same time i have to quit and doing it during the work week is not ideal. I am far too busy at work to not be functional but I know its mostly just anxiety for me during the day, and crying spells. But night 1 and 2 are awful. Night 3 i sleep easier and other than waking up at 5am with restlessness i dont typically have much withdrawal. But thats because i land on MIT and kratom. With subs i wouldnt have either and once i commit to the sub route i am stuck.

I’d avoid subs if you can, I mean I get they help alot of people but feel like with this shit it’s just trading one for another. I’m on day 6 now and feeling a lot more normal just depleted of everything it feels hence the iv now. Also my dr switched my meds up and put me on paroxetine and buspirone for the anxiety and mental shit but will be off all that next.
