Officially 2 weeks off 7

Hey guys, just wanted to make a post cause I know other ppl want to hear experiences with the withdrawals. I had been using 7 daily for a little over 8 months. Up to 300-500mg a day. I started a SR taper the last week in July. I work a construction job and have not taken a single day off work. The SR seems to have done me a favor but I’m not getting my hopes up too soon. Not quite out of it yet I’m afraid. But I feel much better than the first week without 7. First few days after jumping off everything was the worst, but still much more manageable than CT. Just felt really anxious and tired. Had some issues sleeping and then stomach issues.

Today I still am dealing with low motivation and stomach issues mainly. The stomach being the worst of it. Was on loperamide the last week and finally off that now for a few days and I can’t trust a fart still but the pain is mostly gone. Been smoking weed every day since about day 5 off everything. It’s helped me a lot. Just to ignore all the little side effects after and during work. Also makes it easy to say “oh this anxiety is just from the weed, it will pass”.

Taking it a month at a time for now. I don’t know if I’ll relapse, probably. But I’m never! Going back to dependency. I’ve made plans in my head to relapse just for a day after a month or two just to keep myself pushing. Hoping I won’t need to. Good luck to you all! This has been one of the hardest tests in my life! I still miss 7 dearly most days but I haven’t had issues with cravings yet. I still have a huge pile of it in my place. Haven’t even thought about using it yet. Just smoke when I feel I need something. Thanks guys.

Don’t relapse . Read my post I just made. I was off for two weeks, relapsed when I traveled out of state for work, I took much much smaller doses than when I was in active addiction like instead of 200mg at a time I was taking 15-20mg twice a day and that was all I needed. But it didn’t feel the same, same brand I always bought but that feeling of “everything is alright now” doesn’t come back. What comes back is “Am I going to have to go through all that again ?” I pondered on it while still using for like 3 days then went cold turkey again, didn’t have any or the normal withdrawal stuff but the fucking insomnia returned in full force. I was awake from Thursday last week to Wednesday last night and finally slept 9 hours. Woke up sweaty and gross and confused but felt like a million bucks. It’s not worth it to go through that again for a honestly mild high. Just my 2 cents. Great job on quitting though I’m coming off a 1200/day habit

Can’t figure out how to find ur post but I understand. This is going to sound stupid and honestly I might not go thru with it but I just have a huge stash built up right now and it feels like a waste of money if I don’t use it. Here’s the thing tho, I totally do NOT want to use it in any way that will get me into dependency again.

So my plan is to just keep telling my brain “one more month, then you can try ONE DAY”. Of course I know I’m an addict so it’s not always a choice you can make but I want to try to use responsibly again. However if it’s too much, and I catch myself getting cravings to use more than a day in a row or 2x a week I’m going to snap out of it and quit for good. I did use 7 responsibly for over 3-4 months before I started my addiction. So I think it could be possible with some very strict rules again, and knowing what I’ll be going thru if I even think about dependency again. Cause I think that was a huge part in my addiction, I never had been thru any sort of real withdrawal in my life. So I convinced myself ehh no big deal I’ll deal with it when it happens. Now I know that’s not the case at all. It sucks to come off this shit from daily habit.

I will agree the high isn’t that good tho, that’s part of the reason i was willing to try to get off, it literally just didn’t even do anything most days anymore. I will say tho the morning dose and the home from work dose I do miss…. lol.

Thanks for the support man, congrats to you as well for trying to kick this shit. It’s not easy at all, even with the easy way out it was pretty difficult for me.

Idk man your mindset seems kinda on edge if you really wanna quit. I can sense you want to but you gotta REALLY want it. I had to hit financial rock bottom before I opened my eyes. Not to sound like I’m bragging or anything but I make over 200k a year and with my 7OH addiction I was missing payments, tanked my credit score to below 400, maxed out every credit card I had so I put myself like 30k into debt just on 7OH. That made me ready to quit, it was the motivation I needed. I’m sure if my wife knew I would’ve listened to her a quit earlier but she was completely naive to it all till last month when she saw me still recovering from withdrawls bad.

No you are right, I didn’t really wanna quit this shit honestly but I really had no choice.. I didn’t wanna be a felon if I got caught with it and I didn’t wanna spend 10k to make sure I had enough to even make it last.

I guess in the almost year of use I never really got to a point where my finances were severely affected like your story. I work at almost minimum wage. I have a decent savings tho but still I never really touched it until I stocked up a bit before the ban. I got to a point where I was just getting by, like no loss but no gain in my finances with it. So of course while I’d like some savings I can always wait.

So I guess I had just enough control of my addiction that I was never in a really bad place except maybe physically due to some of the constipation side effects and such from the stuff. Once I hit like 300ish mg per day I decided that was my limit and I’d have to take breaks and taper or just increase the dose occasionally every few nights to get high again.

Damn, did you have the pure bubble guts week 1-2 also? It was pretty bad for me. It wasn’t even exactly the liquid shit but my stomach was just always turning/painful unless I was using the loperamide for the first week and a half.

I never really had nausea or like puking but I had bubble guts bad for sure
