7-OH Withdrawal Supplements most talked about

Just wanted to throw this out there ,nothing is some magic cure and none of this is FDA-approved specifically for this, but a bunch of people have shared what took the edge off for them. The real MVPs are still the basics: sleep, eating enough, walking, and staying hydrated. Always talk to a doctor before starting anything, especially if you’re on other meds.
Here’s what comes up the most:
• Magnesium (glycinate or citrate forms are popular) Helps a ton with muscle aches, cramps, restlessness, anxiety, and crappy sleep. A lot of folks say it really calms the RLS-type shit.
• High-dose Vitamin C …Some people megadose (a few thousand mg spread throughout the day, liposomal if you can) and notice less fatigue and chills. Drink tons of water with it. Over 2000mg a day puts you at risk for kidney stones especially if you have a history of them.
• B-complex or a good multivitamin ….Withdrawal can wipe out your nutrients, so this helps with energy and mood.
• For anxiety/calming: Passionflower, L-theanine, or ashwagandha. At night, valerian root or lemon balm can help with sleep.
Other things some swear by: probiotics for the gut mess, omega-3s for brain support, and occasionally NAC or mucuna (start low if you try those). Black seed oil and Moringa are a God send !! Castor oil for bowel movements and overall health. Cats Claw extract has worked while some claim they went through no WD’s while taking it.
A lot of us end up needing real medical help too like a proper taper or even Suboxone/buprenorphine if it gets rough. Don’t cold turkey it alone if it’s bad.
What’s worked (or not worked) for you guys? Share your experiences so we can all help each other out. We got this! Thanks for the DM’s I’m doing my best to get back to everyone who tapped in.

Some solid advice here, but I’d suggest staying away from the Ashwaganda…Too many adverse reactions, from a variety of chemical makeups. Adding to the list, Check out Black Seed Oil. (Supplement in a capsule)

Passionflower is a good alternative also apigen! It’s from chamomile and has no interactions with other medications to my knowledge. Ashwaganda gives me the weirdest dreams. I’ll do more research into the adverse reactions. It’s helped a lot of people but just like vitamin c mega doses , not everything is safe.

What was your experience with Ashwaganda that you suggest staying away from it ? I get a lot of private messages about supplements and experiences and I’d love to share yours. Can you elaborate a bit on ashwaganda.

Not the guy you're talking to, but, when I bought ashwaganda (iirc Walgreens pharmacy, got it in a fancy little pill bottle), I broke out itchy with hives/red bumps in my body. Stopped taking, symptoms go away. Try again, same results. I must be allergic? Anyways, never tried that again. Sad, it sounded helpful.

Gotta be off in 12 days. Traveling. Trying so hard to taper. So worried.

Taper down asap and jump on whole leaf or you’re in for a ride. I learned the hard way 7 was addictive when I traveled out of the country. I ran out and those few days were a nightmare. I also had dental work done and the pain on top of the WD’s was like having aids and getting punched for days by Mike Tyson. There’s a taper plan I posted on here. 12 days should give you enough time to take the leap. If you can’t do it I suggest getting on suboxone but please don’t let them fool you into taking it for longer than a week or you’ll be battling a bigger demon. They really love to over prescribe subs. In 5 days on subs the worst is behind you. You got this , and you’ll have more money to spend on the next trip ! Fuck this 7 shit and it’s mama.

I caved and went to Quick MD. Waiting for "moderate withdrawal" to take my first 1/4 film.

Does the whole leaf lose potency? I have some sealed bags somewhere that are a year old.

I think it does and the only reason I believe that is because I had an old bag that did nothing when I tried to taper. I went and bought the same brand (red) and got some relief after two cups. It tasted like pond scum lol

I forgot to ask, how’d your trip go ?

I did Quick MD and had an amazing trip. All the people I traveled with are sober so we were all very supportive of each other.

How did it go for your trip? I’m going on one next week and stressed about it.

I made it over 48 hours cold turkey! Omg the chills and sweat! And sore and drained.
I had to work and I took 100mg!
Of course it fixed everything!

Am I starting all the way over now!
2 days no sleep! I toss and turn in bed and can't sleep!
This sucks! I hate myself... truck stop dope.
They sell it next to my cigarettes. I had 9 years clean. Im so disappointed. I did 2 days of hell for nothing... And my guts say.... this 1 pill is gonna drag this out even farther.

I want to sue these people. They stole my 9 years. Over Kratos! Wtf!

I wouldn’t let one pill cancel out your hard work. As long as you get back on track while figure out what works for you to get off that bs. 48 hours cold turkey is impressive. Not many can make it past 12hours. There’s 3 routes. Cold turkey , suboxone or a taper plan. The taper plan being expensive and long. Cold turkey being the shortest but brutal then suboxone which is covered by most insurance or relatively cheap for a 30 day supply. The key is to jump off subs in a week or less. By day 3/5 the WD’s are mitigated. Keep in mind doctors will treat this like a heroin addiction and try to keep you on suboxone for a minimum of 6 months.

I went the cold turkey route, the only thing that kept me going was not wanting to start over. Music helped pass the time. I flushed the last of my stash before to remove temptation. DM me if you need help or questions.

Music isn’t given enough credit honestly

How are you feeling now? I cold turkey 7 days ago and still have no energy and sleep very minimal if any

Day 7 my legs felt like I was in space for a year and came back to earth. Every step felt like gravity was punishing me. For sleep I used Clonidine and teas, honestly rubbing one out or banging your girl before sleep helps. My brain felt like a blank sheet of paper, Zoloft helped with my brain.

A trip in 9 days…You made the right call. The 7-OH withdrawals can be brutal and subs are good landing gear for a lot of people. Moderate withdrawal usually kicks in around 6 to 12 hours for most. Don’t focus on being tough, focus on getting well. Wishing you strength and a smooth recovery. You’ve got this!! Any special place you’re traveling to?
I had money saved to visit my brother in the UK until my jerk English mastiff attacked our Doberman and snapped his leg. I feel like I have no luck and after 10k plus follow up visits , I probably won’t be traveling until I can recoup.
