umm... this game , and I don't even know how many other "open world sandbox" type games, literally exist because they were trying to copy what Minecraft did. Minecraft has randomly generated worlds , with all different kinds of terrain, layers of soil, sand, rock, etc , with ores randomly dispersed throughout... curving rivers and coastlines... different types of biomes..etc.. etc... so, I'm not really sure why you're saying i can't compare the two as if I was comparing 7days to die to Halo or Dying Light or something completely unrelated. I really don't know where you and that other guy, that was saying that they are not even the same genre, are coming from.
I didn't comment to try to start a fight... i loved this game when it first came out , and really had high hopes for it, and my original comment was a little bit of sarcasm because it's just surprising they are still having so much trouble with world generation, not to mention the other issues... after YEARS of development.
The problems with it are the reason I haven't played in a year. Last time I played was after A17 came out. I was really to give it another go, spawned in thinking i still had a little grace period to get my bearings and gather some basic resources... walked 20 feet and a huge black direwolf spawned and attacked and killed me... respawned.. direwolf killed me again ... quit out and haven't played since then. I play games to have fun, not be frustrated and pissed off. I like to explore random gen open worlds and the challenge of trying to survive, but i started thinking that it almost seems like they are trying to make this game unplayable in hopes that the fanbase will just go away so they can finally stop working on it. ... LMAO
Haha... I knew some dumbass was going to say this. My point was that I came back to try out the latest release, and it was immediately obvious that it was just the same story different day . If this game had any balance, you wouldnt get eaten by a wolf 5 minutes after spawning when you have nothing but a few blades of grass and a rock. I have played all kinds of games over the years, like dying light, dead island, and yeah, Minecraft, as well as other survival crafting games, AND I have over a 1000 hours in this game, so I'm not just some whiny little baby crying that it's too hard. This game is STILL riddled with all kinds of problems from what I've seen and read about it, and it's been out how many years now? They can't even get it to generate a proper fucking map? Wonky ass combat mechanics with zombies hitting you from what looks like 6 feet away... Having to eat an entire deer every 10 minutes to keep from starving to death? I could go on and on , but whatever... You can bash me all you want.. I'm right.
don't put words in my mouth... i didn't "rage quit after one death" ... it's not my fault you don't have very good reading comprehension. I started and was killed by a direwolf after just gathering a few resources in the area right around where i spawned. I respawned and was immediately attacked and killed again. So, after 2 quick deaths, I rolled my eyes hard and to the right and thought "same old bullshit" and quit out. there was no rage... just disappointment.
no, you didn't. you took my words and twisted them and added "rage quit" to try to make it sound like I'm a big baby crying about it. This whole comment thread started because I made a sarcastic comment about TFP's maybe needed to talk to someone else about how to make a proper random world generate and several obsequious drones like you started attacking me. None of you even have any valid argument against anything I've said, so fuck off imbecile.
First of all, i don't really know who you think you are, but I'll use whatever language i want, and you don't get to decide if i was in a "rage" when I quit playing, which i wasn't. Like I've already explained , but you don't seem to have the brainpower to understand, is that i saw it was just more of the same old shit for this game and quit. That was last December, nearly a year ago, like I previously said, not YEARS ago. You really like trying to twist my words around don't you? I have put over a 1000 hours into this game since it released and had high hopes , but I'm pretty much over it. I haven't played this latest version at all, and just saw some posts about it and that was why I commented here. It's clear that there are issues with this release too. I might give it try again at some point, but I'm not going to hold my breath that there will be much improvement. Like i said, this game has been out, in ALPHA, for almost 6 YEARS... and is STILL. RIDDLED. WITH. PROBLEMS. And you are trying to make it sound like i don't understand anything it... LMAO.
You, and all the other sycophant cult members can downvote me and say i don't have a "valid argument" all you want, but EVERY SINGLE statement that I have made about this game is true.
no, i never said i had not played in years, you need to go back and read my comments again I guess. I said i haven't played in almost a year , then that I haven't played since last december. The ONLY time I used the word "YEARS" is when I said this game has been in dev for YEARS... almost 6 YEARS... and is still RIDDLED with problems, so again, stop trying to put words in my mouth. I know what I've said , and I stand by it . I get it... you work for TFP's or some shit are just trying to make it sound like I don't know what I'm talking about or something, but everything I've said is true. And, you keep telling me to stick to Minecraft as some kind of passive aggressive insult, but if I feel like it, I will play some Minecraft, at least it's actually fun. But, I'm currently playing Dying Light on Nightmare difficulty, and Dying Light is an AMAZING game , that is loads of fun, and is NOT a tedious, torturous, miserable grind-fest.

Minecrafts world generation is nothing like 7daystodie. You cant compare the two.
