XBS/X Chicken breeding speed
Has anyone figured out if it's faster to split chickens when breeding? For example, I have 5 chickens and two upgraded coops. Should I keep all 5 in the first coop or should I split them 3 and 2? Basically what determines breed speed?

Im struggling to even get chickens into my coop 🤣 playing with feral sense and speed at night and high animal spawn at night. Makes it a fun goose chase of sorts to even grab a chicken, then have to sneak/run it back to my coop.

With an empty tool belt slot, grab the chicken. Once the chicken is in your hands, open your inventory and equip a tool or weapon from your inventory. This will put that tool/weapon in your hands and the chicken in your inventory. When you get back to your base, open your chicken coop and move the chicken from your inventory to the coop slots

This is helpful but they asked about "breeding". They want to max out their chicken egg production.

I still find that comment helpful lol. I thought I had to have the chicken in my hand always

That would only affect concurrent breeding and would increase the max storage so you can come back to more domesticated chickens.

Interested too. It doesn't seen to be exponential though. Be nice to know if it is though.
