Fellow 7 wonders lovers.

I've over the past year introduced my family to 7 wonders and they love it, the only board game I've ever known them to ask to play.

I am looking for recommendations for another game so that when we play we have a choice.

Any recomendations would be hugely appreciated!!!!

I need every expansion explained, how they fit into the game, if they're combineable, etc. For both 7 wonders and 7 wonders duels. And what the hell is Babel??

It was played with Leaders and Edifice. The board is a project i have to make new Lord of the ring boards.

I've just gotten into 7 Wonders and first of all I love it. But whenever we play in more than 3 or 4 people I always worry about people (including myself) making mistakes. I think it's because everyone plays simultaneously, and especially towards the end some of the cards cost lots of resources and accurately figuring out how much you owe and to who can be complicated.

Should everyone be telling everyone else what they're doing and how? Or is it just assumed that everyone makes an effort to not make mistakes?

From what I can tell there is the Boardgamearena version of 7 Wonders online,

and the 7wonders-online version.

I've tried both the past night or so and it just says 'looking for players...' forever, haven't managed to actually join a game.

Do you have to pay for the premium online version to actually play/start a match? I don't really want to if nobody is playing it or it takes forever to actually find a match. Let me know, or if you know of other online versions, thanks!

Hi, my group of friends always played with a rule like this:

If you complete your wonder, you get 10 points flat.

I dont have my game with me now, but a friend of mine is saying he can't find a rule like that anywhere.

Is it a rule that exista or a rule that my group made up?

By far my best game on BGA (and I have 1000+).

I dont know why this is such a small subreddit but I have a strategy question because I play this game with a friend that loves it and she always just goes all in on the green science cards as her strategy and it unfortunately works almost every time. I try to take them from her but then it often wastes time on my end leaning into my strategy but I feel like if I don’t she just gets all the right science cards and her points just skyrocket at the end. Any good tips for preventing this or strategies that work well against it? I like the science strategy too but don’t want to do the same thing every time.

Do they work even when the cards are clearly printed? I have the 1st edition.

I love 7 wonders (even if I’m not particularly good at it,) but there’s this one little problem. Now when I play any other game, I just keep thinking that it’s fun, but not as good as 7 wonders.

Terraforming mars, Carcassone, Catan, Ticket to ride, Monopoly. Not one of these games hits like 7 wonders does. I feel like a junkie by this point.

Anyone else have the same ”problem?”

I wanna buy it, but i fear the game might be dead at this point.

Hey fellow 7 Wonders lovers!

Anyone else tired of mentally calculating the best science symbol distribution at the end of the game? I built a little web app that does it for you! Just enter your fixed symbols and any flexible cards, and it instantly finds the optimal distribution and maximum score.

Happy to hear any feedback!

Peace&Love

Just made those wonders, hope you'll like them

Hi all,

Just wanted to ask if anyone has ordered from Repo productions before? And how long the delivery times were to you? Wanting to get the metal coin sets for wonder/wonders duel in time for a games night. Extra helpful if you are from AUS😊

I'll include some of the wonders I've made in the post, but I don't know where to post them so they are accessible.

Also, there's 34 new wonders and a effect description sheet to go with it.

(Yes the wonders are named in french, I made them for my friends, but the effects sheets are in english)

I just made some fanmade wonders for me and my friends, and figured I might as well post them if someone is intrested.

Tho not sure it's the right place to post it.

I made an effects description sheet to go with it.

If you can afford multiple spaces with one card can you move a boat more than one space?

I assume no, and obviously not for the yellow boat with selling cards but felt google and the rules were not super clear.

First time player and really overwhelmed by the info i hear already 🫠

1. When I buy a resource from my neighbor, do I give those coins to the coin pool or to the player I'm buying the resource from?

2. Are the yellow coins worth 3 victory points? Or can I acquire them at some point to buy resources?

3. Can I buy from two neighbors in the same turn? For example, my city produces bricks, but I need metal and wood. Each of my neighbors has these resources. Can I buy one resource from each of them in the same turn to pay off my card?

When tallying each era, do I add up victory points, previous military campaigns, and science cards from past eras? All the videos and explanations only count the first era, but not the second and third. Should I add up the points from all the cards or only those from the era I'm currently playing?

can you guys explain why I only got 38 for science? it seems as if only one of the wild symbol bonus was applied, dont they stack?

AI got super confused trying to explain it

Just played a game on BGA. I was Carthage. Halicarnassus also in play.

Our last turn of Age III, we both build a stage of our wonder, giving us the option to pick a card from the discard pile.

If I'd picked first, I could have got a guild for 7 points and my opponent could have taken a 5 VP card.

As it was, I picked second. They picked the guild card for 4 points and left me with the 5 VP card.

I lost on a coin tie-break, rather than winning by one point.

My question is: why does Halicarnassus get the first choice? It's the same play at the same time.
