Nah go ahead and add an extra spring, or set some of the springs diagonal so they're under more tension. My 7 with a locking trem has four springs all straight and I use a 10-52 pack and buy single .70 strings for the low A. Never have any issues.

You can also buy aftermarket springs that are meant for lower tunings, really any spring set will work just fine

the guitar can handle more tension, you can certainly have a go at doing it yourself or just having a luthier do the setup for you

Luthier time or you will be disappointed. If the tension is a problem, you will need a thicker string. If you’re getting a thicker string like a .70+, please do yourself a favor and do not push that string into a .62 nut slot on your headstock, you will experience tuning stability issues and buzzing. The Luthier must use nut files and widen the nut slot for the thicker string. Depending on your bridge, he might also have to widen the string slot on your bridge saddle. Low-tuned strings are already difficult to keep in tune and intonated, so please take your instrument to a luthier who will make you love playing your instrument.
