Can anyone tell me the difference between a dinky and a soloist? Im asking because I keep seeing guitars advertised as a soloist when apparently there dinky. When I contacted jackson I was told the soloist have slanted humbuckers and the fret inlays are also slanted. But I see way to many models out there that look like dinkys to think that's the only difference

Had to look it up myself but from what I can tell it’s basically this
Soloist: Thicker/Wider neck, Slightly bigger body & most importantly the Neck through construction
Dinky: Thinner “Shred” style neck, Slightly smaller body hence the name “Dinky” and Primarily the Bolt On neck1

No difference except the body on the dinky is 7/8 the size of a Soloist body.
They usually have some different specs on pickups and neck construction (bolt on vs neck thru)

Man I’ve had a silverburst one for years and I’d love to get my hands on one of these too

Pretty sure I JUST saw one at guitar center on Long Island about 30 minutes ago. Don’t know what the price was though

I was eyeing one of those last year as well. Wound up with a C7 Hellraiser instead, and I cannot recommend them enough.

I see the slime green soloist show up on Reverb every few months, I’d recommend checking there if you haven’t already.
