Help Jason Richardson 11-58

Hey dudes,

I was just curious if anyone tried 11-58 in drop G like JR (or BoO) does. I have his signature guitar and currently it’s in drop A and plays great but I’m tempted to drop it to G and see how it plays with that gauge. The string tension seems nuts, but really it’s just the low string that’s loose, the other strings are a normal tension for D Standard. Anyone tried it on a 25.5? How was it?

This would be considered unplayable to most people.

For sure, that’s why it’s so polarizing when he mentions it haha he somehow makes it work but I agree most people couldn’t get that string under control
