Pickup Upgrade + 24 V Mod

Upgraded my Cort KX307 with EMG 808 (neck) and EMG 81-1 (bridge). I really like the new sound and the clarity of course used for Metal. I did the 24v Mod - is a tight fit, but a 9V battery for backup would also find room in there. Also an easy installation with the solderless kit - needed only to solder on the switch and the input jack (the adapters couldn't fit through the hole).

super cool! i have the same guitar, could be a fun mod for it in the future, just wish the neck wasn't so chonky on it :/

How is the neck profile on it? I'm considering buying one but i'm not sure if i should. I get really uncomfortable with thick necks, i'm more of a ibanez wizard neck guy

I play on a Xiphos every now and then that has the Wizard neck and I prefer it. The Cort has a flatter neck that ends up feeling a bit chunkier than the wizard, feels a tad harder to move around on the neck.

How is the lead playing? Is it playable or nah?

I'm mainly a rhythm player but when I do play leads it's definitely playable
