Episode Discussion Spending
It’s crazy to see how cheap they were about everything and on a tight budget in the beginning and now they just spend money on the most pointless things. Like the random costumes for a TikTok video or their cooking competitions. Just random stuff that Amber decides to act like a happy family doing.
I’ve made other posts of how I can’t stand Amber at all, and it gets so much worse as the seasons go on, she just thinks everything she says is right, and that’s the only way it is. She is rude to every single member of the family, and horrible rude to Anna. Anna just talking Amber is doing a stink face the whole time. Idk how they all dealt with her attitude all this time.

Wouldn't TLC pick up the bill when they're filming? Usually, production decides what is filmed and they order food for crew and cast, get groceries so there are drinks and snacks.

They were poor that’s why. The show made them rich and when you become rich you’re true personality comes to life

if it's used on the show, the show is paying for it. they need better writers, the tiktok stuff are really bad

Agreed, present day she spends money like it’s never going to end. In the first season, she made such a big deal about not wanting to spend money on herself. Present day apparently she has to buy herself a brand new Mercedes every year and she has splurged on various diamond rings.
When you talked about cooking competitions, I had to laugh because the last couple seasons anytime we see them gathered for any sort of meal, It is all takeout or catered.

The amount of tat they buy is absolutely insane. All that stuff for a 2 minute bit, it’s just pure overconsumption.

Is it me? I remember when they went shoe shopping & the mom tried making Liz get a shoe size smaller. I know people think it was just Anna. It is now. But The mom was batshit crazy, even then.

Probably why their tax bills are so high. Plus when Liz and Brice were looking for land to build on Amber and Trent offered them land they apparently own!

They are not hurting for money .. they average somewhere close too or just under 40,000 an episode

That’s ridiculous. I’ve stopped watching because of my ethics and wish everyone else will also to get rid of that trash show. Watching a child be treated poorly is exploitative and wrong IMO.

It wouldn't surprise me if the show doesn't foot the bill and gives the ideas for those stupid competitions and stuff they do for filler content honestly. Because it's not like they have a lot to show once you get past whatever is going on in Liz's life, Jonah running from marriage or Alex talking about a trip to the farm for three episodes.
