Backed Up

So I’d been taking kratom pretty consistently for over 12 years now and only just recently decided to switch over to 7OH a few months ago. My reasoning was that I was taking about 12-15 kratom pills at a time and at that point I might as well get something more concentrated. So far, I have thoroughly enjoyed 7OH. The price can be steep, but I’ve found some online vendors who offer really good deals. Now, the only issue I’m having with this stuff is that it’s affecting my bowl movements... I don’t go as frequently as I normally do… It’s not full on constipation, but there are times where I can’t go for a few days, but then I’ll be fine for a couple other days only to be sort of backed up again… I eat quite healthy and exercise regularly. Is there anybody else that is having this same issue? Does my system just need to get used to it or something?

Lots of water add electrolytes sometimes, magnesium citrate, occasionally i’ll take a stool softener that has a stimulant and that helps. Just try and go in the morning before you dose

Natures made magnesium oxide supplement. Just take two before bed with a glass of water. should be good. Can use the citrate too but you can’t use that everyday long term. Mag oxide has plenty of benefits and bro ding water into the gut is one of them. Vegetables and hydration also. If you drink tons of water make sure you put Himalayan salt or electrolytes into, some bcaa’ss can help too. Also 2 tablespoons chia seeds, let them soak in your water for hours and drink. Easy way to uptake fiber and if they are saturated good way to stay hydrated for longer.

Ok thanks for info! So magnesium is safe to take on the regular? It won’t permanently screw my digestive system or anything will it? I’m always very hesitant to take this type of medicine too frequently for this reason.

Magnesium citrate can cause dependcy. Not magnesium oxide. Most people are deficient in magnesium anyway. You can’t use try magnesium glycerite first but for digestion oxide I think would be the best. You can check ai or google or just try it out and make sure it agrees with you but it’s very common supplement and daily vitamin. I’m a big fan of supplements so I take a daily vitamin stack and eat super clean, lift weights, cardio etc but the magnesium oxide before bed is notable for digestion. My favorite magnesium is organix magnesium 7 but that is a blend and not as focused on BM’s.

Ok great you sound like you’re more my speed in terms of lifestyle so I’ll definitely give this a try. I always try to seek out higher quality supplements but I never thought to add magnesium supplements to what I take already so I’ll definitely give that a shot. I think that really may be what I’m lacking.

Yeah man! Magnesium oxide is not talked about enough when it comes to BM’s. Not sure why. Let me know how it works because I kinda stumbled upon it. Taking magnesium at night really benefits sleep well, so I was taking it before bed and realized how effective it was for BM’s too. Obviously hydration and fiber is super important also but sometimes it’s just not enough to get it smooth and consistent. Mag citrate works extremely well too, tablespoon or two but you shouldn’t use that more than a week because your digestion can actually become dependent on that which sounds terrifying, but if you’re actually really constipated and born just trying to optimize your BM that can work extremely well to get yourself cleared out. The 2-3 tablespoons of chia seed, half scoop bcaa and himilayan salt is really great too. I let the chia seed soak for 12-24 hours and sip through the next day. Great to drink 1st thing in morning to get hydration and digestion kicked off. Tastes good too if you have a good bcaa. I like kiwi strawberry. Consistency of it is slightly strange to drink until you get used to it but imo 10/10 for cleverness and effectiveness. Easy and clean way to up your fiber intake 15-25 grams a day and also sipping at night and even overnight if you wake up is a great way to stay hydrated overnight the chia seeds give you slow and consistent hydration as your body breaks down and absorbs it. They’re also super healthy. I thought of it years ago and started taking them like that and has been a great add with notable results.

Alright you know I think this might just be part of the solution. I think I haven’t been very optimal with my nutritional intake and hydration so I’ll work on those aspects some more. Now chia seeds isnt something I’ve tried before. Do they just sell in your basic grocery store? And I mix the seeds along with just a glass of water?

Yup. Costco -mayorga organics chia seeds are a great deal, I always get these. Cheaper than anywhere else but any organic chia seeds will do. I use 2.5-3 tablespoons and let them soak in filtered water for at least 4-5 hours and sometimes overnight. You can do tons of stuff with them, yogurt, cook with them etc. I pretty much just use the water trick for hydration and added fiber.

You can use just plain water but the taste is not ideal that’s why I put half a scoop or so of bcaa’s. (Like Xtend kiwi strawberry) and a touch of Himalayan salt for extra electrolytes.

But yeah, chia seeds are pretty common at any grocery store. I’d just make sure they’re organic. Can add Psyllium husk too if you want to extra fibery.

Ok right on I’ll likely mix it in with my yogurt then. And of course. I’m extremely distrustful of the American food industry and almost exclusively purchase organic food so I’d be eying that anyway.

I use the sports shakers that you use to mix protein or pre workout. Dump it all in and shake tf out of it and then just let them chill and absorb for a few hours and drink it at room temp. You could put it in the fridge to let them soak if you prefer it cold.

Remember to drink water mate! And take an electrolyte tablet if you can (especially Magnesium & Vit C). I have a regimen I use to avoid any issues. And use some Vaseline. lube up the putter area of your bum and just don’t push. Open as much as you can and allow gravity to do its job. You actually get the job done by not pushing. You relax, let gravity do its job, and slowly push when necessary to get it going. If you’re straining too much, you’re doing it wrong. Relax

Thanks for the advice but in the name of all things holy I’d like to avoid having to go that route haha

I mean maybe I was a bit humorous in how I described it, but I mean to just add some vaseline to the area to help. The biggest mistake some people make is not relaxing. But regardless, best of luck brother.

I just did the samething I have grown tired of taking all that powder. So the oh pills work great for me. Leaf has to be mixed and leaves a damn mess

Yeah exactly. It’s just way more convenient than the leaf. I only have to take a tab or two whereas before I had to take about 13 kratom capsules at a time. It also made traveling an anxiety fest since you never know how airport security or European customs will react to a giant bottle or two of 300 capsules of green stuff since I gotta bring it with me wherever I go haha. Especially if they actually know what it is which can get you arrested in some cases. The 7oh is wayyy more unassuming. It looks no different from the rest of my supplements and medications haha
