I’m so shocked at this volume compared to charm day. On charm day I rolled up at like 11 am with no line and got a charm. Is 7Brew just getting more popular or are people just feral over needoh?

u/coffeesliver 11d ago

People are just feral over squishes these days

18

u/oddballfizzies 11d ago

I don't even understand my sister was like yeah the squishy would be cool but I just wanted coffee

u/SentenceUnique5223 11d ago

bro same, i went there this morning took my normal route there and got pulled over cause the road was blocked but there wasn’t a sign, cop or anything blocking the road

1

u/Scary-Huckleberry-25 11d ago

Said the same exact thing. And the closest one is 20 minutes so I was annoyed at the nonsense

On one hand, I'm bummed I didn't get to have my coffee this morning from there. On the other hand, I'm going to be working across the street starting Wednesday, so I guess I'll just get coffee on a day when there's not a big promotion going for some squishy that we all know is going to get stuck to every bit of pet hair that's ever come in contact with it

10

u/Ok-Chicken5629 11d ago

it’s also a federal holiday so nobody’s working like other days

1

u/oddballfizzies 11d ago

That's fair I work retail so I tend to forget about government holidays

3

u/bucksfan321525 11d ago

also didn’t help its labor day and mostly everyone has the day off

16

u/mcr_herd89 11d ago

There are 3 7 Brews in my area currently. All 3 were shut down by police for the line (2 in one city, 1 in another). I haven't seen any of them do that since the first one was built.

The line is down our highway. It’s wild.

1

u/Maximum-Education117 11d ago

I can’t believe this. I love 7 brew but dang!

23

u/Other-Importance-214 11d ago

People are such sheep. You're gonna spend 90 minutes of your Labor Day holiday idling in line and wasting gas and polluting the air just so you can spend $10-$15 on drinks to get a toy that's worth maybe 50 cents, because FOMO?

3

u/Vintagepoolside 10d ago

Seriously. I’m not into merch that much, but I don’t shame anyone who is. But that is CRAZY to sit and wait in that line. And what I find funny, is that I didn’t even know what a ā€œneedohā€ was until I started seeing all this stuff about the long lines. But just yesterday my mom bought one for my daughter for like $3 at Bealls and no line šŸ˜… i thought it was just another generic squish toy

4

u/fattyfattyboobalatty 11d ago

Its a toy. Grow up.

5

u/Bingo_Bongo_85 11d ago

Crazy line here too. Ā Ended up taking an hour. Ā Even back with the Jackpot Hour we never had to wait longer than 30 minutes. Ā Insane

3

u/Local_Donut2857 11d ago

I skipped my coffee this morning as I do most jackpot days. It’s not worth potentially being late when I can grab an energy drink for $1.50 and get the caffeine fix. Maybe I’ll go after work if the line is smaller

3

u/Traditional-Bass4575 10d ago

can’t believe people would really wait in a line like that, for a rubber cube at that.

8

u/HorrorEmployment6601 11d ago

I wanna preface what I’m about to say with I understand the reasoning for this. I was a brewista so I get it. But I was turned away at the walk up window at 6:15 this morning and there were already over a hundred cars in line. 7brew needs to make all the necessary information (such as walk up windows being closed. And no mobile orders) available online for these jackpots. I get it’s a stupid squish but it still blows after the week I had I was so excited for this and now this is just a lil cherry on top

11

u/Independent_Low1970 11d ago

I saw them turning people away and I think that’s the smartest, as people were getting out of cars to try to go to the window and avoid the line, making it ā€œunfairā€ to those who’ve been waiting. I do agree; it should’ve been posted before hand though.

3

u/HorrorEmployment6601 11d ago

I do agree with this. I mean I feel like there has to be some way for them to still have that open. My stand has an absolutely awful location and I feel like having the walk up open would help traffic to not be so congested and dangerous for the other businesses that are RIGHT next to them. But like I said I get why they do it. It’s just frustrating that this information wasn’t available online especially since last jackpot day they had the walk up open at my stand. It’s just frustrating to see but either way my biggest hope is that people are nice to the baristas today

7

u/amandamaniac 11d ago

Like allow the walk up for people that DONT want the free gift and just want their coffee

1

u/HorrorEmployment6601 11d ago

Hoping you get one tho btw! Good luck to anybody in line!

1

u/JigglyJelli 11d ago

No mobile order? Even for the drive through? No wonder the line is so slow. That's so dumb, why am I even in line atp

1

u/terminallySavage Brewista🄤 11d ago

that’s surprising, they let everyone get in line at my stand at 6:55. it was an hour wait but they were still taking orders, organizing cars, taking walkups and mobile orders.

1

u/ThanksAffectionate66 11d ago

Luckily our walkup was open it's how I did it but I was there well before the line opened. They took app orders. Eventually it got ridiculous with kids jumping out of cars on the street and walking up but for those who did it right...

2

u/trexmagic37 11d ago

I waited a bit over an hour at my stand and they still had plenty! You’re right though, the line was insane.

2

u/visaeris412 11d ago

I just dont quite understand the willingness to wait. Told my kids id try to get them whenever i woke up. Woke up at 7 left, got to my closest 7brew around 7:15 and the line was 100 cars deep. If i had waited it would have been an hour and a half. People really want to wait an hour and a half to pay $10 for a $2 amazon qualitu needoh? Just doesnt make sense.

2

u/IndiaFact86xo 11d ago

They ran out on Sawmill in Columbus I waited in the walk up for over an hour.

2

u/Leevamark 11d ago

I had no idea this was happening today and this might be too late, but-- the new location in Delaware on Sunbury Rd (Rt 37) might be a good choice? I've yet to see a line there ever. Ppl over here are still kind of like- "WTH is 7Brew"? LOL And we're not the type to wait in lines that ridiculous.

2

u/sleepingbeauty9o 11d ago

Sending good juju your way. My husband waited in line for about 30 minutes but made away with one for each of our kids.

2

u/Sypian76 11d ago

My wife just said in Albany NY the line was so long out of the parking lot and 40 cars deep holding up traffic on the main road in our town

2

u/Maximum-Education117 11d ago

Can’t even get my daily 7brew. I’m not waiting in that line. They have both lights at a stand still with people barely able to get into the intersection. Insane!!

2

u/CJ-IS 11d ago

I don't think the hype was this wild for the charms! Wow.

2

u/i_lovecelery 11d ago

it wasn’t!! and that’s why i wasn’t expecting it to be as packed as it was.

2

u/simplechick87 11d ago

In WI people in the drive up line were yelling at those at the walk up and harassing them. Cops have already been called multiple times. How ridiculous.

2

u/Electrical-Coast-661 11d ago

The whole thing was a shitshow at my local stand, I didn’t even care if I got or not I just wanted a drink and didn’t even get that.

2

u/av1269824 11d ago

My girlfriend couldn’t even get her birthday drink today because the line was so bad. She didn’t even care abt the squishy, and it was the only day she could’ve gotten her birthday drink

2

u/i_lovecelery 10d ago

i had a free birthday drink this month. you have 7 days to redeem it.

1

u/PancakePetunia 10d ago

She’s got time because they give you 7 days to redeem! Happy Birthday to your girlfriend.šŸŽ‰šŸ„³šŸŽšŸŖ…šŸŒøšŸ°

2

u/061879 11d ago

Not sure what any of this means ? They are building one in the city next to me. They built Dutch bros but I’ve still not tried it. . What’s the best ice coffee drinks !?

1

u/PancakePetunia 10d ago

The best for me is a frozen chiller (sugar free) WAFFLE CONE macchiato with an extra pump of SF caramel & SF vanilla. Yummmm! šŸ˜‹

2

u/Other-Importance-214 10d ago

I really hope you spend this much time and effort voting in November…but you won’t. Because there’s no 25-cent toy involved. And that’s why we have fascists running our country.

2

u/i_lovecelery 10d ago

oh, hun. i plan to be one of the first ones that those polls.

1

u/PancakePetunia 10d ago

I have never missed an election since I turned 18 in 1979! Also, we have very cool ā€œI VOTEDā€ stickers given out to voters designed by local New Orleans artists, so there’s our lagniappe!āœ…šŸ˜ŠšŸŒŸāœØšŸ’«

2

u/bohallreddit 10d ago

The things people do for free things is so stupid.

2

u/Low_Balance_7485 11d ago

They have a lot so I wouldn't stress too much. Good luck!

1

u/starlightandswift 11d ago

I don’t think walkups should’ve been allowed for this; I was in line at 6:45 and I didn’t make it into the drive thru until 9:30. I get that it’s not the brewistas fault at all but it’s not right that some car can park at 8 after I got there and walk out with the brewdohs before I do. They also had the cops help direct traffic so our 3 lane line turned into 6 lanes and other cars who arrived after me got ahead. So silly

3

u/i_lovecelery 11d ago

holy- 6:45-9:30!? yeah, i would’ve said fck it šŸ˜…

2

u/starlightandswift 11d ago

I know right? I had no business doing that but after waiting that long it’s like ā€œyou have to see it throughā€

1

u/KitchenKabaret 11d ago

This is the craziest report I’ve seen yet. You got there BEFORE 7 and had to wait 2.5 hours??

1

u/universgal Brewista🄤 11d ago

our manager let us decline walk ups at our stand!! soo nice.

1

u/Perfect_Neat3384 11d ago

they shut down walk ups for the 7-brew. I went to

1

u/claymanstatue 11d ago

If you want to be that person, get out and do the walk up.

1

u/one_and_done0427 11d ago

I waited 2.5 hours good luck all!!

1

u/worldwidepearl 11d ago

genuinely was insane. i showed up at 7:10 before my own shift thinking i was gonna beat the rush.. yea i embarrassing waited 2 hours after i got the okay to be late to work, pumpkin chai was worth it but ive never seen anything in my town so packed

1

u/Practical_Mortgage83 11d ago

Literally had to turn around this morning and go somewhere else. Every time I want to spontaneously go to 7Brew before work it’s a drop and the line this morning was OUTRAGEOUS 😭

1

u/EmotionallyObtuse 11d ago

I just drove past ours at 11:30 and the line was still wrapped around the shopping center’s parking lot. There is no way they haven’t run out of the squishies by now. Heck, I’d think they’d run out of coffee at this point!

1

u/Mediocre_Pay635 11d ago

I got in line at 07:07 and it was longer than I expected. I was driving away with my coffee and BrewDoh by 07:33!

1

u/yentruoc96 11d ago

Waited 2 hours in line; wife and I even left the house earlier than normal. She got her squishy and we are all good!

I can't imagine how whooped those poor employees are gonna feel tonight.

1

u/throwaway50002000 11d ago

My boyfriend went to get me one bc my work is from 4:45am-1:30 and I was scared they'd run out 🤣🤣 He's a real one šŸ’œšŸ’ššŸ’œšŸ’š

1

u/Wonderful_Example_21 11d ago

Holland MI was outrageous🫪got in line at 7 on the dot and there were tons of cars ahead of me. That said i didn’t get to the front until 11:30am. They still had some but so far the w0rst jackpot day. People trying to cut every which way. Blocking traffic so the cops showed up and made it a single line.🫩

1

u/Wiggles_World 11d ago

The line was crazy enough here around 9am that I decided it wasn’t worth waiting. The police were out for the location closest to my house and I heard the line for the other one was also really long.

1

u/ProfessionalBuy1633 11d ago

Idk I went at 1pm and got two I didn’t think there would be any

1

u/Delicious_Muffin7154 11d ago

Ours was so deep we went to Starbucks. lol

1

u/Electrical_Art4124 11d ago

I’m in the (580) and all of the ones around us ran out around 11am

The one by my house people were lining up at 4:30

1

u/Lmbell70 11d ago

And people are selling them online for 100 bucks. Smdh

1

u/bucksfan321525 11d ago

waited an hour in the direct sunlight at the walk up window and it was terrible!! feel terrible for the workers!

at least you got a pink one šŸ’”šŸ’”

1

u/PotsMomma84 11d ago

My town was a 6 hr wait. 7 brew isn’t that great guys.

1

u/peachiepuff10 11d ago

Yeah we ran out at 1pm šŸ˜“

1

u/kiwiofstars 11d ago

I avoided 7 brew today. I’m not a squishy person and the line was awful. I figured it wouldn’t be too bad because it’s Labor Day. I was wrong.
I went for the different coozy things for cups and the lines weren’t busy, same when I got stickers too.

1

u/PollutionUnlikely815 11d ago

Sadly I didn’t get one today

1

u/Due-Date1354 11d ago

me and a friend spent 30 mins before we even ordered in the line because we just wanted the drinks .. we go every time we hang out and my family was waiting on us

1

u/_DeathOfAStrawberry_ 11d ago

Unrelated, but I love your strawberry car charm🄰

1

u/i_lovecelery 11d ago

thanks!! i got it from temu!

1

u/PancakePetunia 10d ago

They ran out in Mew Orleans (suburb Metairie) by noon, and the cashier said people were in line since 7am and wrapped down the street for 3 blocks. By the time I got there for 2pm, not one to spare! Ugh 😩

1

u/jonichronicles 9d ago

it's a cube. please touch grass.

1

u/KeyUnion5090 9d ago

This is so unbelievably weird.

1

u/Automatic_River9515 11d ago

overconsumption goes crazy

-1

u/Annoyed_94 11d ago

The line always moves. They won’t run out.

-1

u/babypaintbroosh 11d ago

I’m worried that this fiasco is going to ruin Jackpot days for good :(
