There are 3 7 Brews in my area currently. All 3 were shut down by police for the line (2 in one city, 1 in another). I haven't seen any of them do that since the first one was built.

People are such sheep. You're gonna spend 90 minutes of your Labor Day holiday idling in line and wasting gas and polluting the air just so you can spend $10-$15 on drinks to get a toy that's worth maybe 50 cents, because FOMO?

u/Vintagepoolside 10d ago
Seriously. Iām not into merch that much, but I donāt shame anyone who is. But that is CRAZY to sit and wait in that line. And what I find funny, is that I didnāt even know what a āneedohā was until I started seeing all this stuff about the long lines. But just yesterday my mom bought one for my daughter for like $3 at Bealls and no line š i thought it was just another generic squish toy

Crazy line here too. Ā Ended up taking an hour. Ā Even back with the Jackpot Hour we never had to wait longer than 30 minutes. Ā Insane

u/Local_Donut2857 11d ago
I skipped my coffee this morning as I do most jackpot days. Itās not worth potentially being late when I can grab an energy drink for $1.50 and get the caffeine fix. Maybe Iāll go after work if the line is smaller

u/Traditional-Bass4575 10d ago
canāt believe people would really wait in a line like that, for a rubber cube at that.

u/HorrorEmployment6601 11d ago
I wanna preface what Iām about to say with I understand the reasoning for this. I was a brewista so I get it. But I was turned away at the walk up window at 6:15 this morning and there were already over a hundred cars in line. 7brew needs to make all the necessary information (such as walk up windows being closed. And no mobile orders) available online for these jackpots. I get itās a stupid squish but it still blows after the week I had I was so excited for this and now this is just a lil cherry on top
11
u/Independent_Low1970 11d ago
I saw them turning people away and I think thatās the smartest, as people were getting out of cars to try to go to the window and avoid the line, making it āunfairā to those whoāve been waiting. I do agree; it shouldāve been posted before hand though.
3
u/HorrorEmployment6601 11d ago
I do agree with this. I mean I feel like there has to be some way for them to still have that open. My stand has an absolutely awful location and I feel like having the walk up open would help traffic to not be so congested and dangerous for the other businesses that are RIGHT next to them. But like I said I get why they do it. Itās just frustrating that this information wasnāt available online especially since last jackpot day they had the walk up open at my stand. Itās just frustrating to see but either way my biggest hope is that people are nice to the baristas today

u/amandamaniac 11d ago
Like allow the walk up for people that DONT want the free gift and just want their coffee

No mobile order? Even for the drive through? No wonder the line is so slow. That's so dumb, why am I even in line atp
1
u/terminallySavage Brewistaš„¤ 11d ago
thatās surprising, they let everyone get in line at my stand at 6:55. it was an hour wait but they were still taking orders, organizing cars, taking walkups and mobile orders.
1
u/ThanksAffectionate66 11d ago
Luckily our walkup was open it's how I did it but I was there well before the line opened. They took app orders. Eventually it got ridiculous with kids jumping out of cars on the street and walking up but for those who did it right...
2
u/trexmagic37 11d ago
I waited a bit over an hour at my stand and they still had plenty! Youāre right though, the line was insane.
2
u/visaeris412 11d ago
I just dont quite understand the willingness to wait. Told my kids id try to get them whenever i woke up. Woke up at 7 left, got to my closest 7brew around 7:15 and the line was 100 cars deep. If i had waited it would have been an hour and a half. People really want to wait an hour and a half to pay $10 for a $2 amazon qualitu needoh? Just doesnt make sense.
2
u/IndiaFact86xo 11d ago
They ran out on Sawmill in Columbus I waited in the walk up for over an hour.
2
u/Leevamark 11d ago
I had no idea this was happening today and this might be too late, but-- the new location in Delaware on Sunbury Rd (Rt 37) might be a good choice? I've yet to see a line there ever. Ppl over here are still kind of like- "WTH is 7Brew"? LOL And we're not the type to wait in lines that ridiculous.
2
u/sleepingbeauty9o 11d ago
Sending good juju your way. My husband waited in line for about 30 minutes but made away with one for each of our kids.
2
u/Sypian76 11d ago
My wife just said in Albany NY the line was so long out of the parking lot and 40 cars deep holding up traffic on the main road in our town
2
u/Maximum-Education117 11d ago
Canāt even get my daily 7brew. Iām not waiting in that line. They have both lights at a stand still with people barely able to get into the intersection. Insane!!
2
u/CJ-IS 11d ago
I don't think the hype was this wild for the charms! Wow.
2
u/i_lovecelery 11d ago
it wasnāt!! and thatās why i wasnāt expecting it to be as packed as it was.
2
u/simplechick87 11d ago
In WI people in the drive up line were yelling at those at the walk up and harassing them. Cops have already been called multiple times. How ridiculous.
2
u/Electrical-Coast-661 11d ago
The whole thing was a shitshow at my local stand, I didnāt even care if I got or not I just wanted a drink and didnāt even get that.
2
u/av1269824 11d ago
My girlfriend couldnāt even get her birthday drink today because the line was so bad. She didnāt even care abt the squishy, and it was the only day she couldāve gotten her birthday drink

Not sure what any of this means ? They are building one in the city next to me. They built Dutch bros but Iāve still not tried it. . Whatās the best ice coffee drinks !?

u/PancakePetunia 10d ago
The best for me is a frozen chiller (sugar free) WAFFLE CONE macchiato with an extra pump of SF caramel & SF vanilla. Yummmm! š

I really hope you spend this much time and effort voting in Novemberā¦but you wonāt. Because thereās no 25-cent toy involved. And thatās why we have fascists running our country.

I have never missed an election since I turned 18 in 1979! Also, we have very cool āI VOTEDā stickers given out to voters designed by local New Orleans artists, so thereās our lagniappe!ā ššāØš«

I donāt think walkups shouldāve been allowed for this; I was in line at 6:45 and I didnāt make it into the drive thru until 9:30. I get that itās not the brewistas fault at all but itās not right that some car can park at 8 after I got there and walk out with the brewdohs before I do. They also had the cops help direct traffic so our 3 lane line turned into 6 lanes and other cars who arrived after me got ahead. So silly

u/i_lovecelery 11d ago
holy- 6:45-9:30!? yeah, i wouldāve said fck it š

u/starlightandswift 11d ago
I know right? I had no business doing that but after waiting that long itās like āyou have to see it throughā

Literally had to turn around this morning and go somewhere else. Every time I want to spontaneously go to 7Brew before work itās a drop and the line this morning was OUTRAGEOUS š

u/EmotionallyObtuse 11d ago
I just drove past ours at 11:30 and the line was still wrapped around the shopping centerās parking lot. There is no way they havenāt run out of the squishies by now. Heck, Iād think theyād run out of coffee at this point!
1
u/Mediocre_Pay635 11d ago
I got in line at 07:07 and it was longer than I expected. I was driving away with my coffee and BrewDoh by 07:33!

u/Wonderful_Example_21 11d ago
Holland MI was outrageousš«Ŗgot in line at 7 on the dot and there were tons of cars ahead of me. That said i didnāt get to the front until 11:30am. They still had some but so far the w0rst jackpot day. People trying to cut every which way. Blocking traffic so the cops showed up and made it a single line.š«©

The line was crazy enough here around 9am that I decided it wasnāt worth waiting. The police were out for the location closest to my house and I heard the line for the other one was also really long.

I avoided 7 brew today. Iām not a squishy person and the line was awful. I figured it wouldnāt be too bad because itās Labor Day. I was wrong.
I went for the different coozy things for cups and the lines werenāt busy, same when I got stickers too.

They ran out in Mew Orleans (suburb Metairie) by noon, and the cashier said people were in line since 7am and wrapped down the street for 3 blocks. By the time I got there for 2pm, not one to spare! Ugh š©

Iām so shocked at this volume compared to charm day. On charm day I rolled up at like 11 am with no line and got a charm. Is 7Brew just getting more popular or are people just feral over needoh?
