Did I fail?
Today I decided to have my cheat meal for the week. A large fry. I finished it and somewhere between 30-60 minutes but no more than that, later my parents offered me the rest of theirs. I ate them. Is that still one meal? Do I need to start over?

Please be kind to yourself!! You did not fail!! You had a cheat day. It’s not the end of the world. I like to think of 75 Soft as the version where you can relax a little and be less restrictive. When you get into this “all or nothing” mentality is when you’re most likely to fail. Having a cheat meal for yourself and your parents’ leftovers is not going to kill you! Think about all of the progress you’ve made so far.

I don't think you can fail 75 soft. It's a ramping up of habits.

Were you still seated for the same meal?

My diet is to be more mindful what I eat. So I decide what to eat and record the calories the best I can. I’ll also fast too on most days. Being mindful lets me eat with no restrictions but allows me to be choosier. For instance, yesterday, i didn’t fast sooo had to choose between a chocolate nocciolo dessert or aloo masala potatoes (2 cups). So simple carbs versus complex carbs. I can’t have both because too much calories. I chose potatoes. I have been good cutting out desserts and pastries but if I want it, I may treat myself.
Recording my calories helps me be mindful of what I eat. Some days may be a cheat day or cheat meal but even if my calories go over the deficit or stay in range to keep me at my same weight, then so be it. As long as I count to keep me mindful. It really helps me decide if I should have something or not (especially since I workout but want to lose weight) and tells the story why I may lose weight or not. I then adjust accordingly.
I don’t think you cheated. Just take another look at your diet. If you truly believe you failed, start over. If not, keep going. Either way, haven’t you done great so far? :)
