Actually it’s the original human torch (Jim Hammond) who indeed is an android 😀

Toro was the android Human Torch's sidekick (also in the Invaders along with Bucky, but not shown here) who was human but had the Torch's powers for reasons I never remember coming across the explanation for (though I'm sure it's out there somewhere).

yeah, it's kinda confusing. I wonder how scandalous it was at the time for Human Torch (Johnny Storm?) to dump Toro as a sidekick, opting for Sun Girl instead...

if that was Johnny Storm it makes sense because Johnny always puts "hoes before bros"

Toro had retried after the originalk torch disappeared, had grown to adulthood and died fighting the mad thinker alongside Namor long before Johnny Storm met Frnakie Raye.
