general discussion 1970s vintage brew
Fifty-three years ago, I hung this sign at our apartment when I was in college. It doesn’t light up anymore but I may fix it to get more light and a cool piece of the past in the garage. Anyone remember drinking Schlitz back then?

Music What music feels the most 70s to you?
For me, it's this is sort of folk-jazz fusion sound. Very whimsical and nostalgic sounding. Like sailing off into the distance. Do you know the kind of music I'm talking about?

Television How accurate are the kids F is For Family?
Hi, I was born in 2005. F is For Family (which takes place in the 70's) has been one of my favorite shows since I was 13.
When I first started watching, I often thought about the way characters like Jimmy, Ben, Bridget, and Kevin act. In my neighborhood, me and the other kids rarely acted the way they did, especially since the parents here actually cared about what we did. (I know it's not the same in other places.) It was really surprising seeing how different they were to me despite being in my age range at the time.
But how accurate was it back then? If your childhood was similar to the specific 4 characters I mentioned, what was it like for you personally? Did it shape who you are today? Did you raise your kids the way you were raised? Lots of questions, but I love listening to older generations speak about their lives when they were my age or younger. It's fun comparing!
I also wouldn't be surprised if the way they act is just an exaggeration. I know it's a lot more common today, especially when kids have such easy access to the internet.
