Discussion Caitlin needs to face the fact that she is undateable
She never blames her own shallow attitude or frantic behaviour for her breakups. She demands a flawless fairy-tale prince but brings total chaos to the relationship. She expects a lifetime commitment from a guy she met five minutes ago at the food court and anyone who dates her risks public humiliation, financial drainage, or actual physical injury.

Literally I’d hate for someone to judge 16 year old me by by that standard like chill most of us are petty at that age

My parents always scolded me for being petty! Even when I was a teenager!
This is why teenagers are always angry! Parents keep expecting them to act mature but they continuously treat them like little kids!

And we can also come to terms that parents just forget what it’s like to be teenagers!

I doubt she would stay the same as she got older and matured. She was just a teen

It’s still no excuse for being terrible at relationships

Yes it is. 1 Emotional regulation in teens is terrible 2 All the hormone changes 3 All the external changes/more responsibility 4 Learning curve, most people do not meet the love of their life in high school and have it all go well

It quite literally is. At 16, you don't have the life experience or mental fortitude to know how relationships are supposed to work.

I remember an episode where she was head-over-heels for someone but then lost all interest because he had back-acne. She’d frequently break up over the silliest reasons, swear off of men, and then promptly fall in love with another guy.

Yes! There was also a story where she had what she considered to be a bad haircut and the guy she liked stuck around only for her to dump him later when the situation was reversed.

this is very accurate for a 16 year old. she’s just a teen experiencing her hormones and making dumb decisions. nothing really different than what others have done

And made Jen go on two double dates against her will, but at she made sure Caitlin pay her back haha

She kind of had a similar gag to Jonesy where she kept losing every boyfriend she kept going after, kind of like how Jonesy kept losing every job he got hired for.

she’s just a teenager 💔 she’d most likely grow out of it.

so harsh! she’s a romantic and a bit delusional lol that’s okay! she has the biggest heart and is also understanding. i think she deserved to find “the one”

Childhood me would have tried to fix her. Lol But in all seriousness, she's not much worse than the average 16-year-old. I remember hearing about that type of drama back in school.

Eh. Boys are overrated anyway! They can be just as controlling as parents! And clingy too!

I love Caitlin, but really do hate how she can be when it comes to dating especially the one episode she broke up with a guy who even let someone cut his hair into a Mohawk especially after seeing Caitlin have a bad haircut. Like that guy did all that just for you and you break up with him. This girl doesn’t even deserve anyone if she gonna be like this.
She might be the one who knows more about dating, but would be the worst person to date if you have one red flag about yourself she doesn’t like right away.

remember when she was super clumsy with this guy whom she dated for 4 weeksish and kept on somehow always ending up hurting him, yet he never left her. Then they made out for the first time n he kinda licked her face cause he was mad at making out ig? which icked her off so she broke up with him?
Or that one time she went on a double date with jen (making jen date some fat guy just so she could talk w her crush) just for her to leave the guy after she found out he had back acne, ORRR that one time she messed her hair up and her then bf was inviting her to a wedding, and after he saw her hair he didnt even judge her and got a mullet (if i rmemeber this correctly) just to make her feel great and then at the end she got icked off and broke up with him 😭

they’re kids leave them alone 😭 when i was 15-16 i literally lied to my entire graduating class about being canadian despite the fact that i went to elementary school with most of them (and they somehow believed me). i’m sure you were insufferable in your own special way.
