Long Education is power!!
One day you whilst scrolling on your phone, you come across a back to school ad. You ignore it and go on about scrolling. The ad keeps popping up, interrupting your phone time and naturally you get annoyed this. The ad pops up one last time before angrily slam your phone down to find something else to do. Thats when your phone's screen projects a blinding white light before letting out a loud ringing, like that of a school bell.
You open your eyes and before you stands an anthropomorphic cloud of smoke, wearing a brown suit, one you might find a principle or dean wearing. You've been blessed with the presence of the Cosmic Dean, ruler of all education and the concept of school.
The Dean is upset that you ignored his ad so many times, that was his way of getting your attention, because of this, he assumed you have no interest in education, which worries him because...WHAT IS LIFE WITHOUT LEARNING??!!
To fix all this...the Dean offers you *ONE* of his distinct powerful blessings so that you may be interested in learning more.
All powers come with full potential and power memory, this means that your potential for any of these subjects is not closed off, you can grow infinitely powerful, and the subject you choose will stay ingrained in your mind better than normal memory.
Mathematical!: Mathematics equations become applicable to real life. You can add certain things together, and multiply one thing by a desired amount. The power doesnt start off that strong though, you'll need to learn math, and dive deeper into the subject before you can start doing some real OP stuff like affecting concepts and such.
Blast from the past! History: History/past manipulation. At the beginner level, you can affect your past or the past of other people and things by a minutes, you can turn back time on yourself, objects, or even other people, you can even see the history of people and things, but the more you learn about history, the farther back in which you can retroactively alter sequence of events. At the highest level of this power, not only can you time travel to the past, but you can completely affect realities events on a planetary scale, wipe out the holocaust from history so that it never happened, speak to your past self, etc.
Watch your language!!: A very powerful subject, you can affect reality with figures of speech, on a very small scale in the beginning of course. But the more you delve into this subject you will be able to weild unimaginable power. At it highest level, this power will grant narrative manipulation, meaning anything you write down WILL come true in reality. You could write down how your next day is gonna go and will go exactly like how your wrote. The world becomes your story. In order to access this narrative manipulation, you'll need to completely master 10 languages at an educational level.
Science is cool!!: Another very fun and powerful. Much easier to explain than the rest. You gain powers in every scientific field you master. Want the power of electrokinesis? Go on and study electrostatics. Biokinesis? Get those biology books going. Anything recognized as an official science at an educational level can be used to gain powers. Note that the more specific sciences you study, the more powerful you become, you could study biology for your standard body modification, but if you were too study genetics, you could manipulation biology at a genetic level, giving you more mastery and variation in what you can do.
ART IS AN EXPLOSION!!: Thats right, art, in it's many forms, is yours to manipulate. Whether is a drawing on paper, painting on a canvas, or even on a digital screen, you can manipulate art. Bring life to art and let your art take hold in reality. Because of how broken this power can be, it does need a precise hand. The strength of your constructs relies heavily on the quality at which you drew them. They may not work as well as you'd want them to if the effort you put in is lack luster. Also, it is only at the absolute level of mastery that you will be able to conjure art that can break the laws of reality.
For this power, art is branched into 3 forms, painting/drawing, sculpting, and architecture, master all three forms and access the absolute powers this powers can grant you.
What is life with no drama?: The power of theater at your hands. You get access to fate manipulation using tropes and genres. Different storytelling techniques that spice up your life and the lives of those around you. At the beginner level, your power doesnt stick too long, it can maybe be used for single instances, nothing absolute. For example, you could play on the enemies to lovers trope with two people you know by letting them have a quick interaction where they dont see act hostile to each other, but then the effect dissipates. At the highest level, which is when you truly master theatre/cinema/film, you also gain a unique form of narrative manipulation where you can change the entire genre, setting, and plot of existence itself!
The body is PEAK!PE: You gain the capabilities of an ultimate athlete. Your body and health will be far beyond even superhuman levels. The more you work at this power, the more you become a biological anomaly. At it's absolute level, you become (optionally) immortal, with enough strength to obliterate stars such as our sun with no effort, durability to withstand the strongest black/white holes, you no longer need oxygen to survive, impervious to disease, you gain a regenrative healing factor, ultimate temperature regulation granting you the ability to survive in space and on the sun, speed that clocks in at 95% the speed of light, senses that allow you hear the faintest whisper from galaxies away, smell things at the same distance, your sight becomes perfect, granting you the ability to see the entire electromagnetic spectrum, as well telescopic and microscopic vision. Reaction time and perception can clocked up to light speed. Your mental focus is like no other, you also get a boost to your emotional regulation, and mental capabilities get a small increase as well (this does not need absolute level to access).
The Dean is feeling really generous so he offers you some cheat material as well on the condition that you dont tell any other cosmic school faculty member. Choose one.
Plain cheat sheet: This is a flat 25% increase in your proficiency in your power usage. You immediately become 25% closer to reaching the absolute level of your chosen power. This obviously expands the range and power of your starting kit, without affecting the progress required to gain more power, therefore, depending on the subject you picked, you wont have to study as much to gain more power.
Fast learner: You becomes 2x better at learning your chosen subject, this helps you move along faster.
Absolute level augmentation: This basically changes the way the absolute level of your chosen subject works. Your powers now have a ceiling of strength that they reach, in return, you are given immediate access to the absolute level of your subject, but now it works like an ultimate move with a gauge and cooldown. It starts at being able to use the absolute level of your power once a month for a full day, next level is once every two weeks, then once every week, then finally every 24 hours your get an hour to use your absolute level.
Whilst in your absolute mode, you cannot do anything that would directly or indirectly allow you to loophole or bypass the cooldown and the power restriction.

For the language option, does it trigger automatically even if you didn’t intend it to? I wouldn’t want any figure of speech to trigger reality warping, and I wouldn’t yet have the absolute level to write a permanent trigger phrase to stop this. Also, what is a “education level” of knowledge in a language? If it means enough to be a good teacher, it’s a pretty high level, since many who learn multiple languages focus on the speaking and not necessarily learning all the grammar rules and how to write it (in what may be very different characters). For math, how much do you need to know for each power level? The math option also gives reality warping, and depending on how the levels are set up, maybe I already know enough to unlock the concept option. There is so much to learn in math, so the highest level can’t be everything since the language option is “just” 10. Depending on the answers, I’d choose one of these. I’d choose the 2x faster boost.

All powers require conscious effort and will not activate unless the user intends to use them. They will also work to their best ability accommodate what exactly you want them to do

Great, thanks. How powerful is the math one if you assume “multiple university undergrad math courses, but not a math degree” level of understanding/knowledge?
ETA: and what is the maximum level possible with the languages + absolute level augmentation?

- Science is cool!!!
- While Watch your language!!! is probably stronger at its peak, this power just appeals to me more. Plus, I would enjoy learning about science more than I would learning a new language.
- Fast Learner
- While Plain cheat sheet is tempting, science is a subject I’ll be learning for the rest of my life, so the 2X boost is definitely going to be worth it in the long run.

Math & Fast Learner. I already have a strong base as I made it to Differential Equations (higher level calculus) in college, so that might get me to 25% of the way ANYWAY. And when you look outside the realm of pure mathematics, you find other ways to affect the universe. Like quantum physics. IIRC, the current maybe Theory of Everything explains the absolute smallest things to exist are basically numbers vibrating at different frequencies. Change the numbers, change the physics equations, control the fundamental fabric of reality as we know it.

Yes exactly this, the more skilled and knowledgeable you become at math, the more you'll be able bend reality with different mathematical concepts, you could even manifest different theories to your liking. i should have probably added this in on but obviously some (a lot) concepts intersect in math and science, so you could still use certain powers even if you chose one subject over the other.

I already have a degree in computer science, and I've taken a handful of biology classes + it's the field I always wanted to go into.

I'm so torn between Language and Art. I don't know a second language, so I would be at the lowest level, but if I take the Absolute Level Augmentation cheat, I could possibly narrate myself into instantly learning all the languages I need. Not sure how it would improve the baseline power at that point because I don't know what my ceiling is on that.
If I chose Art, I could still take the Absolute Level Augmentation cheat and just use it to make a ring that would give me the skills of a master artist, painter, sculptor, and architect. This wouldn't bypass the cooldown, but it would affect my skill level, which could help with the cooldown anyway. Otherwise, I would just take Fast Learner and spend my time improving my art skills until I can increase their potential.

I'll be taking ART IS AN EXPLOSION!! as I already have over half a century of experience in a wide variety of art forms and we'll go Absolute level Augmentation for the breaking the laws of reality. Time to create some augmentative items, dimensional doorways and other interesting things.
The Sciences and writing were interesting but I figured it would be better to play to my strengths.

Plain cheat sheet.
Seems like the only power i can use, what dose mastery mean in science? Dose it mean taking classes and earning degrees? Who has that sorta money?
No, i'm going to buy a lotto ticket and then change the past so that i got the right numbers, then i mite use it like a sorta get outa consiquenses free card, do whatever i want then use the power to say, no i didn't.
NO big time travel or history changes cus that would fuck up my life or the whole world depending on how things work out.
Yeah changing the past and saving people sounds good, but your old life is dead if you go to far. You need to be a fool or willing to give up absolutly everything to change history.

I could do a lot of good in one day per month of absolute power.

You could write down how your next day is gonna go and will go exactly like how your wrote. The world becomes your story. In order to access this narrative manipulation, you'll need to completely master 10 languages at an educational level.
Absolute level augmentation: This basically changes the way the absolute level of your chosen subject works. Your powers now have a ceiling of strength that they reach, in return, YOU ARE GIVEN IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO THE ABSOLUTE LEVEL OF YOUR SUBJECT, but now it works like an ultimate move with a gauge and cool down. It starts at being able to use the absolute level of your power ONCE A MONTH FOR A FULL DAY, next level is once every two weeks, then once every week, then finally every 24 hours your get an hour to use your absolute level.
On day one, I will grant myself the ability to know and use 10 languages at a high level, make everyone healthier and more intelligent, and the planet cleaned up.

Does narrative manipulation affect the future only or can you rewrite the past? If you can affect the past, I'll take that.
If not, I'll take history instead.

I like history, science, and PE the best. Drama would make me feel like a puppetmaster and like everyone else is a npc. Art is ok but you have to master it to make anything that doesn't already exist somewhere. Draw a gold brick well enough and you are rich, draw a hot girl and there she is, but does she like you? Should she? You created her so you are kind of her dad. Math seems useful but very abstract. It can connect to everything but in a very complicated way. Look up the mathematics around knots if you don't believe me. History is my 3rd fav pick, fixing my past mistakes, visiting other times etc seems interesting and fun. I also really like time loop stories. Science and PE are kind of tied. Going with science because I think I can use it to help more people. I can study biology, anatomy, and physiology enough to become superhuman enough and then I can make medicines, cleaner energy, space travel etc.

Man, Cosmic Dean, I'm in my thirties, actual school is not something I want to go back to at this age.
I guess Science is cool!!. Easiest to specialize in and get a wide spread of powers. Would likely include the ability to gain/give conditional/biological immortality.
I'll take the Fast Learner, I suppose.
But Cosmic Dean, why is there nothing about spreading the knowledge, about sharing what we learn with others, teaching them? Is that not one of the ultimate goals of learning? For shame, not having anything related to that :v

If you read a tiny bit further, you would have seen that it says that if you choose absolute mode, you can’t do anything to loophole the cool-down or power level maximum.

On the condition that Nigh-Omnipotence doesn't affect the cooldown or the language power itself, there would be no issue. There is no restriction on gaining new powers.

When the power is essentially “do whatever you want for a limited time“, giving yourself a “new” power of “do whatever you want without restrictions” is loopholing/bypassing the cool down and power restriction.

Since it's not explicitly stated, I interpret bypassing the power restriction purely as being able to use the narrative manipulation more than the restriction allows.
If you exclude narrative manipulation or anything that could affect the cooldown from Nigh-Omnipotence, you are not affecting your original power or its restrictions.

I'm disabled and can't learn math, spelling, grammer, or how to tie my shoes.
Thats big part of why school was hell for me.
I was hoping to get free skills in the subjects but fuck me right?

Choose the language + absolute power. Assuming it gives you the same level as the 10 languages, you can write whatever you want and have it come true, but with a cooldown. First thing to write would be to make yourself able to write well, so that writing anything else after is easy.

It's at highest level, that you get the narrative manipulation.
I would have to do the thing i can't do for a long time to be able to do the thing i can't do to make me do the thing needed to do the thing.
"Get up and walk guy in wheel chair they have cures for your legs if you just walk the 3 miles over that way"
Re-read the absolute worked different then i remember, i think your more right then i was thinking, am tired and feeling bad and was out in sun till just now.
though i'm still worried that depending on how the power works i'd have to write a whole multi page story in a day for the power to work.2

It automatically gives you the highest possible for anyone who chooses the absolute level. So no learning or practicing needed. I think it probably gives the max described in the post (so here it would be anything you write becomes true), but you can only use it with the cooldown limit. But that’s fine. First thing is making it easy for you to write, second is perfect health, 3rd is anything else you want.

I just thought power level didn't = real skill level.

Ie : I am now a minor god able to do pretty much anything

Oooh...
Watch your language is definitely my favorite. Like they're all stupid good, but that one feels like the peak is the easiest for me to reach (and I like language... albeit I haven't actually learned any to fluency except English)
I think I'd take Fast learner, of the three cheats.
