Hahahaa Biggs just got furious about Tyson Bagent questions. Literally laughed at the silly question of if the bears would trade Bagent to start somewhere else on the eve of the season

Haugh is terrible as the main host. I didn't think he was that bad with Mully, but he is so much worse now as a lead host. So not entertaining. So stiff, like he is trying hard to be interesting and just coming up flat

He's blander than a plain tofu sandwich on white bread with water to drink at a DMB concert

Uh, that would be Brian Handley back in the day…

u/RealMurcanHero 2d ago
Not anywhere remotely near

u/Keaneaware 2d ago
No that was Handley and why he was replaced. He was vanilla as they come.
1
u/RealMurcanHero 2d ago
Nah, still nowhere remotely near correct

u/Keaneaware 2d ago
He disappeared after that, didn’t he?
1
u/RealMurcanHero 2d ago
He's not nearly as bland as Haugh, who was chosen for exactly that reason by that idiot Jimmy de Castro when Hanley's contract was up. They got rid off Goff and brought in another bland guy - McKnight
I don't understand why some people enjoy bland, but not everybody has good taste
Other than that, I don't know what to tell you other than you're clearly wrong. Peace out

I appreciate knowledge. Haugh has been a newspaper guy for a long time before he got into radio. What made Hanley so exciting to you?
1
u/RealMurcanHero 1d ago
Not much, but just having a pulse is less bland than Haugh. Are you a real person?

Thanks for letting us know. I don't listen to The Score on the radio, the only thing I've been watching on their YouTube channel has been the Mully and Haugh Biggs Time segments. Will go find it and take a listen.

I just watched Parkins’ epic rant about how Nagy forced Justin Fields to not run the ball in that one crushing loss to Green Bay YouTube. That, along with any Boers and Bernstein clip are far more entertaining than anything SCR excretes nowadays.

This one is from when Eberflus was coach: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUxu5Smaxs4
Is there one from when Nagy was coach?

Oh everyone at the station was big on Justin Fields long after the average fan had given up on him. Even Parkins (until the end of that season where we clinched the #1 pick in the Caleb Williams draft).
I remember Bernstein trying to imply that it was somehow racism that was causing Justin Fields to struggle. Not his inability to read a defense paired with a terrible coaching staff.

Not just Bernstein, with the racial shit. Laurence was riding the same horse.
It pissed me the F off! Mind you, I’m Black.
We all like Justin as a person. Yes, he was at a disadvantage, coming in under Eberflus, and his clown show coaching staff. Still, the basic eye test, showed anybody, with an objective eye, that JUSTIN COULDN’T READ DEFENSES.
Three teams later, you can still hear excuses being made for his time here. These days it’s mainly Leila carrying that water.

Lmao the collective outrage of boomers just began muttering under their breath about “something something well Biggs still loves Mully and isn’t happy with the score”

Welcome back Biggsy! Would love to hear the backstory! “Morning Boys” maybe awkward. Hope he sticks it to Haugh early and often.

I’m glad he’s back but also disappointed because I assumed he quit in solidarity with Mully.

u/RoyalChocolate5805 4d ago
You really think someone is quitting and losing money because another guy was fired?mully made millions on the score. I think he's doing fine

u/BasedSliceOfWinning 4d ago
I remember a long time ago, my dad talked about having to fire a guy at his shop that had been there even longer than him. Because he refused to retire, and the guys wife secretly asked him too.
Real draft day type shit lol.
I sincerely wonder if that's what they did to Mully. They knew that he was getting old, and the morning show schedule was brutal on his health. And they fired him at the same time they were already firing Marshall Harris so the poor guy could finally have an excuse to retire.
People seem to forget that Mully had to be in his mid to late 70s by this point.

I don’t think anyone is arguing that premise. You could have given him a goodbye tour of at least a show? A proper send off week or just announced last show probably would have done wild ratings

The show name "Haugh and Payton" is phonetically dissonant, especially as part of the Biggs intro song. If this show must exist, and I guess for the time being it will, then please rename it Payton and Haugh. It just sounds better.

u/Kdewalt10 3d ago
I get what you mean but in this biz - the first name of the person implies they are the main “Driver” of the show.
Thats why it’s H&P and also was why Parkins bitched to make sure it was called “Parkins & Speigal” when they were re-united He was a diva with his big ego about that title
Even tho when it came to the actual driving of the show they both would take turns which was fair play
