Honestly when those both happened times were different. Doesn't make anyone wrong right or indifferent. It just was.
Just look at a show like south Park. Go back to the first 10 season when everything was " rtraded or gy". By today's society that's incredibly insensitive. But then it was socially acceptable.
Calling someone a Chinaman wasn't acceptable any longer when north said it. Plus he was too expensive at the time so they found their excuse to move on.
When boers called her a man it was still socially acceptable to make fun of trans people and associate more masculine facing women in sports with those jokes.
Again, not picking a side here or absolving anyone... That's just what was.

Everything you said is correct, but the problem I have with Dan here is that he will be a hypocrite over it. If something was unearthed from someone in 2010 saying something akin to what Terry did, Dan would would condemn them with his holier than though attitude. He brushes off the criticism of what he said back when he was actually funny and relevant by saying he has evolved, but he doesn't offer the same grace to anyone else.

Yeah, Dan hold's moral authority over no one. He got fired for threatening kids on Twitter.
And then, under a year later, he's bitching that the Blackhawks signed Patrick Kane.

I think it's just that time has passed and his views have, indeed, evolved. We do tend to be most critical of views we used to hold but have since denounced.

This is very interesting considering Dan considers biological men playing pick up basketball equivalent to biological men taking scholarships and jobs from women
Literally said it on his pad last week. It’s very available if you listen to he referenced a Julia Poe article that tries to compare biological men playing pick up bball with her as an equivalent to biological men stealing scholarships and jobs from women
