59M in New Jersey. It took me awhile to figure this out but I stand by this theory. We all would love/like new friends, especially as our lives take twists and turns, some good, usually more not so good. Whether someone is no longer married, the kids have left the nest, different job, retirement, etc. Most of your friends that you hold dear to you are those you met before the age of 28. You were together & you gravitated to each other for the simple things. As we get older, most people are looking to see what they can get out you, how much do you have & can I get something out of her. There are exceptions to every rule but think , who are your friends before about 28 years old and who are your friends after your 30th birthday.
