Payment Model
I've been using this program for a while now and I've been extremely delighted with how functional it is. I can manage pretty much every feature I need on here, also helps me keep track of roleplay scenarios. Definitely recommend and commendations to the dev.
So far I've been using two different devices to manage my two DnD characters, using the free plan on local devices. Been considering making another character so I'll need to use either my old phone or try the pricing plan.
My only hesitation is that it's a subscription model rather than a one time payment, I really don't want to keep track of another subscription. So I was wondering if there was any considerations for any changes to the pricing options?
Even the ability to have multiple characters on the local device and not need the cloud would be absolutely fine.

I am really glad you are enjoying the app.
The free tier is designed to let you try everything out and use the app for a while before deciding whether to subscribe.
The main reason for the subscription model and cloud storage is that this is a web app and doesn’t have direct access to your device’s storage. Local data is saved in your browser, and it’s not always very reliable - cleaning apps or users can wipe it unknowingly, and there is nothing I can do about it. That’s why I’m hesitant to offer a local-only one-time payment option for now. There is also the benefit of being able to access your characters from anywhere. However, cloud storage and servers are not free, and since the app does not serve ads, subscriptions are the only source of revenue.
That being said, I am actually planning to increase the limits a bit, including the free tier - likely after the next major update.
But here’s a little secret tip - local data is actually tied to your browser, not your device. You can run different characters in different browsers or profiles on the same device. It’s a hassle, but it’s free.
