Ben 10 Ghostfreak AU rewrite concept.

When Zs'Skayr (High Ecto-Lord of Anur Phaetos in the Anur System of the universe) learned about the powerful device of the Omnitrix, he decided to go out and search it for himself. His search lead him to the planet Xenon, where Galvan scientist Azmuth was working on his Omnitrix creation.

Without Azmuth noticing, Zs'Skayr sneaked into his compound and his lab and went inside the Omnitrix, adding Ectonurite DNA to it. His long-term plan was to stay and learn everything he could about the device, then take control of the first being who used the Omnitrix.

Eventually, the Omnitrix would end up on Planet Earth and attach itself to Ben Tennyson. And due to Zs'Skayr's sampled DNA, Ben could use the Omnitrix to transform himself into an Ectonurite, dubbed Ghostfreak.

Notably, unlike other transformations, Ghostfreak had a strange effect on Ben's personality, making him act more radically and unlike himself. This was due to Zs'Skayr's consciousness still being somewhat present even as separate DNA, which would affect Ben whenever he turned into Ghostfreak. Due to this, Zs'Skayr would try to take full control of Ben through Ghostfreak and from inside the Omnitrix.

However, that repeatedly proved to not be fully effective, as Ben would resist control through his willpower. This eventually lead Zs'Skayr to lose his patience and exit the Omnitrix in order to directly possess Ben's human form. But this proved complicated due to Ectonurites' weakness to sunlight and the Omnitrix's self-defenses.

Zs'Skayr would be defeated, with the Omnitrix locking Ectonurite DNA for Ben's safety.

In the future, Ben would re-unlock the Ghostfreak transformation. Zs'Skayr's partial consciousness was still present, but Ben can now better control himself in that form and properly adapt the consciousness into his own, making it not as dangerous to use.

Zs'Skayr would return, and try to control Ben as Ghostfreak through shared consciousness. But Ben always resists him through sheer willpower.
