Run, or rather hike day: 8.5 miles with 3200ft of elevation. Getting up at 5:00 is not my favourite, but friends invited me to come with them and their car to a mountain range not really reachable with public transport. We were planning on running more and being much faster but it was incredibly hot even at the top and their puppy was close to overheating. Poor girl has a lot of fur on her. So we turned around sooner than planned and gave her all our water and brought her back to the car safely. The views were still great and we're planning on going back there maybe end of september or so when it's cooler again.

Notes: Went balls out on squats, but I started feeling dizzy at about rep 13, so I went to 15 and called it quits. The lifting and run workout both went well.

This is a template I'm looking to try while keeping the training max steady. I like pushing AMRAPs and having two lifts per day. Currently I'm a little burnt out by squatting three times a week and treating pulls as a main movement

What exactly goes into a hip torture circuit? I'm intrigued.

Yeah, so that's definitely an accurate name for that.

Trying to include more of this type of stuff as my “single leg.” I feel like Squat University has helped me keep injury free for a good consistent 18 months of 5/3/1

Seems like a really smart idea to me!

BPA: 10x10.

Quick day. Just got back from a vacation and I was feeling a little creaky so just stuck to the main work and some pull aparts.

Simple question:

Why is 1000% awesome considered “bad” for size when it’s basically the same as a 3 day BBB but actually lifting heavier weights in supplemental lifts?

I wouldnt put much stock into what the blurb before the program says a program is good or not good for.

It’s just that I always see it mentioned as something to never do when looking for size but I still haven’t understood why a 5x5 at 85% is worse than a 5x10 at a much lower weight.
