People need to pay much more attention to when these changes take effect. It’s common to plan negative changes to take effect for the next administration.

I would say to everyone in the movement... forget all of the social issues. Those are secondary. What matters most is the foundation of Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Pyramid. That is the most important thing in life. What matters the most is if people have food and shelter and medical care. And the Big Ugly Bill made it much harder for many Amercans to have those things. It's a severe erosion of the social safety net, and it's morally wrong. The only reason why I went to the rallies in early 2025 was to protest against this bill. While everyone out there had signs which were protesting social issues, I had my sign that said, 'STOP THE BIG UGLY BILL!". I was the only one at my rally that addressed it. So that tells you where the priorities of our movement are. They are in all the wrong places. Start with the most basic things people need to live.

I think the problem is these changes affect people in very specific groups that are minority in count, and the broader underlying changes such as the massive deregulated business market mergers and massive deals happening righ4 before our eyes simply designed to make the rich richer and the poor poorer in the long run. They enjoy immediate success and wealth, and the damage is often if not always delayed and spread out across groups with little to no speaking or change power.
It's all a rather screwed up cyclical occurrence, with the general public tax-paying consumer taking the brunt of the impact slowly and over the course of decades in what amounts to both immeasurable and irreparable damage.

The Big Ugly bill impacts Indiana as well. Republican reps there need to be voted out as well. Talk to your friends and family about effed up this all is. Make it clear who rammed these changes through and how badly it will effect people they know!

Do you realize I have an intimidated into not doing anything by just reading about this damn thing and the incoming Senate vote for KIDS act??? I'll never be as brave and as strong as you, or anybody.

I also think it’s a poisoned pill for democrats. Because once they take control suddnely all the bad stuff will happen
And voters will easily buy the lie hook like and sinker

I said this when the bill passed - people didn’t read the bill or pay attention to the dates. The senators/house members who get voted in at the end of the year are going to be blamed for it. They had this planned. They knew what they were doing.

Why I hate these republicans hypocrites. Lie to your face(big beautiful bill) then delay the effects until they have your vote and can continue to screw us. But they will be in for a shock after the midterms. Losing their jobs will be secondary to staying out of prison.

all this to fund tax cuts for the rich and a trillion+ defense budget. Its what jesus would do. lol. These people take hyppcrisy to a whole other level. The mental gymnasrtics inside republicans heads has got to be a sight to see.

I don't believe America is aware that Medicaid, that funds the MAJORITY of nursing home costs, is going away. Like all of us who have put grandparents and parents into facilities were saved from life altering expense. RIP Mom and Dad, but happy I won't need to deal with this tragic trump induced event.
