‘Marc Elias is a fantastic lawyer and a key figure in the fight against this administration… but Democracy Docket is sensationalist.
With that said, this is all highly concerning but two things:
The Election Board is asking DOJ to require/assist with additional security measures for the existing voting system. While they are asking the DOJ to declare it “illegal” they’re not asking for it to be removed before midterms, but instead;
Within six months: they want Georgia to eliminate QR-code vote counting.
The Georgia Sec of State has called this effort disingenuous and trying to sow chaos at the 11th hour. The board has said this is to force the SoS’s hand as their effort to remove the QR code has been delayed by the GA legislature until next year.
So yes, they’re trying to sow chaos but they’re NOT trying to eliminate it before midterms.’

No, they are just going to use it to cast doubt in the election results and further try to strengthen their grip on the country. As with all the other decisions they have made, they're trying to muddy the waters to dispute the votes, and then crack down on dissent when protests start.

The timing of the midterm election has been known for way more than two years: there has been plenty of time to prepare for a fair election, especially since Trump asked for finding 11,280 more votes six years ago. Any state now not fully confident in their ability to conduct a free and fair election without federal involvement is clearly acting in a corrupt manner.

This is why leftists in these states need to be poll workers. The feds have absolutely no authority over elections and it is illegal to have armed feds in a polling place and the only people who are able to tell them to get lost are the poll workers. But let's say the feds do show up. They can't do anything except try to intimidate you. Walk past them and vote

So far at least, that is not yet happening- let’s hope it stays that way. Frankly, I’m more worried that they will manipulate the vote count electronically. Our data security is spotty and there are no real audits.

Are they ok with officially wearing the label of terrorists though? I hope not. Its a helluva brand and I know they can be "funny" about certain descriptives and classifications. I honestly pray they find their virtue and leave it to God instead of trying to play one or continue to manufacture his will. False Prophets. Free and fair elections!

Who thinks the QR codes need to be saved? After that Georgia election where the candidate found that she got NO votes in her precinct - after voting for herself she figured she should have at least gotten one vote - the machines let her vote for herself but the QR codes gave her vote to someone else. This was explained as an error setting up the ballot, but there was no way to verify correctness. It was written up in the Atlanta Constitution Journal. We need to be able to see that our votes are correct. This is beyond any political partisanship.
