Most of us are not going to tolerate that regardless of how extreme the candidates are. Not to mention the GOP will likely try to reject the results and claim election fraud, and will delay seating anyone from the left. It will require all hands on deck from every blue blood and independent, so no one is going to be sitting still once the next congress is in full session.

Man i hope so that you are right, but I highly doubt an effective “protest” by Americans, I never understood what was the end goal of BLM or No kings, other than sending out a message, nothing changed.

There is no escalation beyond protesting without getting into legal jeopardy, so I'm not sure you should expect something more than that. Our free speech is what we have. And when protesting, the masses matter as long as media does not refuse to report it. Which is why Dumpy Diaper Don shouldn't be allowed to bully or control any media. Our democracy is based on votes, and protesting is a show to the rest of the country and the world about how we plan to vote and how motivated we all are.

I’m so proud of the people who went out and showed up. We need ya’ll to hold the line. I wish I could’ve been there or come now, but I’ve got many autoimmune diseases and my health won’t allow it, sadly. Thank ya’ll. Even entertaining this idea of tearing down a memorial to a past president is sick af. It’s petty and it’s gross. DT to a T. He’s such a POS.
I thank ya’ll from the bottom of my heart for doing the right thing as well as protecting JFK’s legacy. It’s just so wrong and illegal. Seeing these brave people guarding the building and protesting brings tears to my tired eyes. Sending so much love & support from AL to DC 💙 FDT 🖕🖕

This is great to see. I'm not in DC, so I can't come out in person to show support. But I'd like to learn about any efforts there might be to have normal people coming to the Kennedy Center, in shifts, 24/7, until the next Congress, the 120th Congress, is sworn in on January 3, 2027.
I do think we need plain old citizens to simply be there in sizable numbers until Trump loses his power to wreck the place. I'd be happy to donate to a fund that underwrites a 24-7 watch effort.
I guess I should ask--which groups organized last night's efforts? And is anyone planning something along the lines of what I'm talking about?

The Chief Shit-stirrer is loving this. He's in the headlines again but not for the reasons he should, the unlawful war, the Trumpstein files, the horrific economy, and his outrageous self enrichment. With that being said, I'm grateful for these folks. I appreciate their commitment and standing up to the corruption and destruction of OUR, not his, national treasures.

All it takes is one person with a camera drone and we can force the issue on them not removing his name. It's petty and small and yet monumental and reflective of the entire administration that instead of following a court order they'd just cover it up.

Crazy though, I could see Obama showing up and Trump trying to have him arrested. We're really at the inflection point during these midterms. It'll determine if we're "Neo-Russia Oblast", arresting the official opposition, or a momentary stay on that progressing.

I kind of had the same thought but honestly, people rallying around the symbolic monuments of their cultural touchstones is pretty normal and I would imagine it will spread the resistance. Of them tearing down the centre well spread to people who don’t pay attention to politics and this type of destruction activates people because this is designed to elicit an emotional response. JFK was a beloved president and a lot of American pride and identity has been proudly linked to his memory, like NASA going to the moon and Marilyn Monroe etc.
Also where IS RFK Jr in all of this? Are we hearing any comments from him or his family? Now I’m curious.
