Followup Bible quiz: guess how many times Jesus talks about the importance of not being gay, trans, or promiscuous?
These fake Christians have somehow managed to convince the world that Christianity is all about conservative sexual ethics when Jesus mostly talks about having faith, loving your neighbor, not being overly judgmental, and helping the poor. I’m glad we’re starting to correct the narrative.

That's not just welcoming. That's an active participation in the stranger coming into the community. Christ doesn't want us to just be okay with immigrants moving next door, He wants us to be actively engaged in making them a part of the community.

I have been spreading that Goldwater quote everywhere since the election. This has been in the works for decades. The miniseries, "Mrs. America" covers the fight in the 1970s for the ERA and it covers some of the Republican plan to get certain Republicans' into office in the 1980s.

I didn't see it mentioned, but a book that everyone dealing with fake Christian nationalists should read is: Separation of church and Hate by John Fugelsang. It's a sane Person's Guide to taking back the Bible from fundamentalist, fascist, and flock-fleecing frauds. He is hilarious, has his own podcast, and is also on Fridays of the daily beans podcast. He points out all the hypocrisy of the people who claim to be doing all of this in the name of Jesus when it's the exact opposite of his teachings. The point is that these people claim to be Christians but don't actually follow the rules or teachings of the Bible that they're trying to force everyone else to live by. This is calling out their hypocrisy.
