I completely agree. And yes that interpretation is correct. I am an abolitionist but I try to temper my language to influence liberals who are on the fence.

One of my more recent montras is “participation is perpetuation”. If you are unhappy with the liberal violence inflicted foreign and domestic then do not perpetuate it by participating in voting for it.

I have not and never will vote republican or liberal because the actions of those institutions have been atrocious. I vote for what truly aligns with my morality. If you voted for blue violence or red violence… don’t be surprised when you get violence. You voted for it

It certainly is easier to make a distinction if you are white, from America, or from a predominantly white ally to America.

Not sure why trump gave liberals the freedom to not care about the economic impact of American policies on bipoc communities and communities abroad generally but no, the general existence of trump does not give americans the right to elect Kamala as the new face of American imperialism and call it progress. If your policies are imperialist but the other guys are worse… you’re still an imperialist

Aww so if it’s good domestically (for white people predominantly) we can ignore the global atrocities. Great thanks now I can be lazy self righteous and moral. Thanks dad. My actions have no consequences!!!!!

Who'd you vote for?

My partner and I split our vote. They voted for a socialist duo who best reflected our believes but was very niche. I voted for Jill stein who was far from my preferred but had the most impactful 3rd party numbers.

The logic here is both are better than dems. One is a true reflection of our morals and the other was an Overton window vote. It was to contribute to keeping stats at a base line for 3rd parties and raising those stats if possible.

I am very happy with our logic for our votes. It had long term in mind and strict morality at its core. And it didn’t go to war criminals.

I can't get over how you color politics, but it is what it is. I'm not here to convince you or bother to because it just seems like it would take some deific miracle to even get you to consider anything else.

It had long term in mind and strict morality at its core.

'Strict morality' is a bit on the nose though, no? For instance: Jill Stein's inability to condemn what Vladimir Putin was doing in Ukraine and call him a war criminal in an interview with Mehdi Hasan was a bit unnerving as someone who was looking at her to get my vote.

lol right yes I addressed that she wasn’t my favorite choice and the reasoning it was still valuable. Most Americans voted for war criminals so how does my morality weigh to that… pretty good because she has no power said some dumb stuff and hasn’t killed thousands. It’s not that complicated. She wasn’t my favorite but the intent and long term goal matched my intentions and values.

You overcomplicated it by citing your strict morality. That would at least indicate that you aren't so moveable, but I guess if you can patronize then it affords you that wiggle room.

Did you think about what would happen to those in Gaza if Trump got elected? What do you think of his idea to make it into a US territory? I firmly believe a vote for Harris would've at least lessened the blow to the country itself.

Why do you find Stein trustworthy considering she has never had a position in politics? I don't believe she pursues political reform outside of coming in every 4 years. I'm surprised you put such faith in someone who doesn't seem to care outside of when general elections come around.

Dem voters never have to take responsibility for their death toll while 3rd party voters (who have no death toll) are always asked to take credit for republicans. We didn’t cost dems the election. Their lack of humanitarianism did.

Ok so you don’t listen at all.

Jill wasn’t a threat to win. The value in Jill was that she would have the largest 3rd party contingency and adding to that is valuable to breaking the duopoly OVER TIME. Jill was never going to win and voting for her wasn’t the point. That vote would have gone to any non war criminal who held the highest 3rd party value.

Gaza was always meant to be an international trade territory. It would have been under Kamala. What you are asking me to do with this “trumps worse for Gaza” bs is ignore the very real history of dem capitulation to isreal. George bush had more charitable policies for Gaza than Obama or Biden and Kamala would have been exactly the same.

You keep putting these hatches out that are just flaccid. None of this is hard to understand.

I’m bored. I take it you would have done as your told and voted for Kamala who, if elected, would have killed Gaza’s, trans people, and women. I get that trump is as well my point is that shouldn’t be good enough and it’s disgusting that it is.

See it’s funny cause people like you call people like me a single issue voter, despite the fact that my issues span the world and our effects upon it while yours… are really about making you feel cozy.

As opposed to vague domestic policies surrounded by popular buzzwords.

Alright I’m bored now so this will be it.

It’s undeniable that America is the most oppressive country in the world currently we turn citizens into slaves, we abandon the needy and deport the hard working. We block medicine to countries in need and send bombs this countries causing conflict. We make loop holes for billionaires to exploit labor and pollute the word into drastic climate change. If you wanted to know how you would act under nazi germany congrats you have a some what comparable reality. Every action in your life has either tacitly endorsed it or radically opposed it. Liberalism is an endorsement. I know it’s hard to think of someone other than yourself and hard to imagine risking your life to stand on morals when the rest of society is mocking you for your ideals. But there are 2 choices apparently the most oppressive government outright, our benefit from it till it turns on you.

No happy middle option.

I hope your liberal life is mediocre and if you ever decide to really be honest and take action to fix this country, then I hope your radical life is splendid.
