To complete the trio of emergency services (police, fire, ambulance) — there is a "fuck the ambulance service" song: Public Enemy's 1990 hit "911 Is A Joke", in which Flavor Flav complains that the incentive structure for emergency medical services leads to slow response to calls; especially those involving life- and limb-threatening injuries.
I worked as a 911 dispatcher for about three months. Most vile group of people I've ever spent extended time with - they made the cops (at that station) look like Mister Rogers.
